Whoa! I had no idea that you both watched this on here! xD Really happy to have found this in Collections! :) I'll for sure keep on watching the series. You both rock for watching this. :)

I don't really care for War related shows/movies either, but this show does an amazing job of not romanticizing War in the way so many do. It's just real. From what I've seen in interviews from vets, it's also incredibly accurate not just in the storytelling, but in the way they just show what daily life is like as a soldier. It's not glorified at all.

I can't believe its been 20+ years since this came out. Time for a rewatch with Cinebinge! The Pacific is the next war series produced by Spielberg/Hanks and while not quite as good as Band, it's still a great series, and the third series just hit Apple: Masters of the Air.

You DID recognize the man who drank from his water. He played young Magneto. He's Michael Fassbender.

$100 in 1942 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $1,936.23, so about $22k a year.

My thought is, it speaks to the strength of the writing and performances in this show that it took like two minutes to stop seeing David Schwimmer as Ross. Such bold casting.

Great reaction again. And credits to Simone for mentioning the main theme music which is so beautiful indeed....The further into the series, the more it hits you...

It does not give anything away to say that this is a true story and the individuals portrayed in this series were actual live people that went this and existed. The old men in the beginning are the actual people in this series -- in the very last episode you do learn who is who.

Still getting caught up on my rewatch. Something of note. This wasn't a bunch of different stories put together by Spielberg. It was based on a book called Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose that followed the events of Easy Company through the war.

As a boy living in France, my pop gave me toy German Luger; authentic looking.
