This was one of the only movies that felt like the director was deliberately keeping you in the dark. This is my second watch and I’m a little more confident in understanding it but not fully. A similar indie movie is Primer and also highly recommend it. Memento, also by Nolan, is similar but does make sense by the end. Great reaction!

Probably my least favourite Nolan flick; it's all exposition and no character development. Clever, to be sure, but a bit more heart and a bit less showing off next time.

Watching this with you guys is my 4th time watching the movie - and I finally feel like I understand it fully. You can stop asking one layer of questions and focus on the finer details the more you rewatch it. That's probably not the best way to make your movie a smash hit, requiring the audience to watch it multiple times to see all the cool decisions you made in the editing, how the script even works, who is doing what and when; but I kind of appreciate that a film like this exists.

Completely agree with you. I saw it opening day at the theater and I was so confused, so I went back the next day to see it again. I'm on my third viewing and I'm beginning to understand. Watching it with subtitles helps a ton.

Primer is a great recommendation! It's my favorite time travel movie. It's boring as hell, but it feels more grounded in reality than more than most time travel movies.

Drew Acheson

Have you guys watched Inception? That's a good Nolan movie too.
