Evidently, K2SO isnt anyone's Gopher

Wonderful reaction! I love the more diverse, nuanced view of the SW universe here, the darker take, and especially the matter-of-fact LGBTQ representation. It's a terrific movie and so beautifully done. Now that you've seen this, please, please, please consider reacting to "Andor" (the prequel series to this)! It is absolutely one of the best things you will ever watch. Period.

Oh, when things were going south I was thinking that you two weren't going to be ready for how this plays out. It is so hard hitting even now. I remember exiting the theater into the cold air... I just remembered I saw this when I was on vacation in Vancouver in the fancy theater at the CIniplex at Marine Gateway. That was also the trip I found a legitimate Mexican food shop called La Taqueria Pinche Taco. Ahh, it has been too long since I have been to Vancouver. Also speaking of Stardust, good fantasy movie that I think you both would really enjoy.

I didn't like this movie when it came out but I was dead wrong. It's now one of my favorites in the whole series! and yes! I watched Andor recently and loved it. I think I was a little too attached to the fun tone of Star Wars and didn't enjoy this because I thought it was too dark. But now looking back watching it I realized that blinded me to how good of a story it is.

They really wasted an opportunity by killing off all the characters. There is enough space around the original trilogy that Jyn, Ando and the crew could have had missions to find the Rebel base on Hoth, they could have got the intel about The Emperor from the Bothan spies. There was a whole plethora of stories that can be told around the original trilogy (the Marvel comics did so for years). A waste. This is the work of Gareth Edwards. One of his most underrated movies, and one of my all time faves is called Monster which starts off like a Cloverfield affair, but is actually a sombre, beautiful and emotional journey of discovery into what it means to be human. It is quite special.

Loved this reaction! Any plans to watch the show Andor?🙏🥺

Coming back to this reaction after the conclusion of Andor. It's the best content Star Wars has put out since the original trilogy (and I personally liked the Force Awakens and Last Jedi). It's a series I hope you guys get around to.

Jesse Coombs

Hell yeah. I just finished season 2 of Andor, and my first thought was coming back here.

Jesse Coombs

Well, I came back to watch this reaction for the second time after watching Andor, and it made it all the better. I'm sure you've heard it, but Andor is even better.

Opinions on the post Disney acquisition movies are divided, but most people seem to have enjoyed Rogue One.

Mario

The scrolling text in the beginning of the Star Wars movies is only applied with the Skywalker Saga. So basicly 9 movies.

Chris Davies

Yes, as far as I'm concerned none of the post disney star wars movies exist as they're terrible and it's not really star wars. But even I think Rogue One was pretty good.

Jennifer Tremblay

This is my favourite Star Wars film. I always cry at the end, especially when Donnie Yen dies. But I also appreciate what they did, and I love how it ties into the original trilogy. In the title scroll of Episode 4, the line "During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon". And then in Episode 6, it's mentioned that the plans were brought to them by Bothan spies, and "many Bothans died to bring us this information". As much as the deaths in this film hurt, I absolutely love this movie. I remember seeing this in theatres, and I remember the shock of realizing that this movie's ending led right into the beginning of episode 4.

They invested in giving the story such depth, it leaves all other Star Wars stories behind and takes the lead in the Star Wars Universe

Com1xguy

Don't know if this will be seen. I hope they watch Andor one day. This movie hits differently after you watch it.

Rogue One is the best movie to ever come out of Disney. Such a good film. The real heroes of the cinematic SW universe perished on Scarif. I think it's amazingly poetic. To sacrifice it all to give others the chance to finish the fight. Sad yes, but so fantastic.
