Sokka doesn't get enough credit. Everyone assumes he doesn't have any bending power because he doesn't bend the elements, but he's constantly bending bitches at almost every stop they make. If anything, he's the most diverse bender there is.

Adam

Ah the Backbender at it again.

Kai Lucas Zachary

"A break episode because the last one was so heavy" immediately followed by Iroh's song. lol

Sir Dongle

Wait. I was watching this before and you guys were off to the sides like normal and I could see the video you're watching. Now for some reason you're both completely covering it, which seems like it defeats the whole point of watching the "uncovered" version...

King_Panarisi

In honour of Mako is for the voice actor of Iroh that died of cancer while they were making season 2, the song he sang is the last voice acting he did before passing away.

Texas Anla'Shok

We've seen the earthbender in the intro already. Can you guess who it is?

Kamau Catching

I became a patron because I wanted to see your interstellar reaction but I usually only follow people for Avatar reactions...this is such a cool surprise I'm starting from beginning but thankss for the content

I don't think the earthbender in the intro has made an appearance in season 1 or up until now in season 2. Some people think it is The Boulder, I heard it is the original character design for Toph, though thankfully they changed their minds.

Lee

I'm a little late, but another historical connection is the Dai Li. They were named after Lieutenant General Dai Li, head of Chiang Kai-shek's secret police.

I really appreciate you translating the text! After 20 years I still learn new things about this show. It's what makes reactions so much fun.

Louis Miller

Really enjoying your reactions to this show, thank you. It's one of the best shows ever made in my opinion. Nice to see your compassion for the animals in the last couple episodes too. It's kind of a weird place to bring this up, but it seems like your morals align with veganism, might be worth thinking about, as the animals you talk about eating go through alot of suffering too. As mentioned in the show, Aang also doesn't eat meat 👍

Jordan Barnes

I thoroughly enjoyed a youtube series from Xiran Jay Zhao where she detailed every cultural reference she recognized throughout Avatar, and read all the script she could, that's what watching this show with George is like and it's great - I had no idea he knew so much history.
