For context the shot of Bane picking up Batman and breaking his back across his knee is actually a very famous and popular moment from the comics. The original design for Bane, and the most popular way to show him for most interpretations, is of a hispanic male with a kind of luchador vibe to him, full face mask, with drugs being pumped into him as George said - but his size was superhuman. Think the biggest most steroided out bodybuilder from today's Mr Olympia and then triple his mass and that's what we're talking about. The moment in the comic panel has Bane saying "I could kill you... but death would only end your agony -- and silence your shame. Instead, I will simply... break you!" It's badass that they paid homage to it in the movie and it's one of the moments I'd say lets Tom Hardy actually provide a worthy follow up to Heath Ledger's Joker. Joker spent the Dark Knight messing with Bruce's sanity, conscience and emotions - in this I think it works so well because Bane comes at him from a different angle and destroys his resources and body. Ledger's joker really was the cheap but deadly dagger and Bane is a human sledgehammer. It's a shame we'll not get to keep exploring Nolan's Batman world.

Watching the reaction right now. Good stuff guys. In regards to Simone’s question about Tom Hardy getting built, he actually did it for Warrior, which came out in 2011. You guys should watch that, it’s incredible.

Hey, you're done with the trilogy now but I wanted you to know the Batmobile is called The Tumbler in this particular iteration. Also, Ben Aflleck is Batman in Batman V Superman and also Justice League. He had a brief appearance in Suicide Squad (the 1st one) and will reprise his role from what I have heard at least one more time in the new Flashpoint movie they are currently making along with Michael Keaton....it's a whole time line thing but if they do it right it will be a blast. I think you would enjoy watching the 1st two Tim Burton Batman movies. They are classic imo.

Lol, if you think Tom Hardy is ripped here, you should check out "Warrior" (great movie by the way) - he was an absolute beast in that one.

You should watch Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992).

Definitely agree y'all should watch the original movies. Batman is okay, Batman Returns is great and Batman Forever is underrated
