I know I’m mad late to this reaction but I wanted to touch on y’all asking about Dumbledore’s age. These take place from 1991 to 1998.

i love the answer to the question " how do you give a potion to a ghost?" , by killing the potion? i thought that was clever and funny at the same time.

Ah, Harry Potter. When these books were getting popular I was in high school. I heard a great deal about them, but never read them until the first movie came out. I saw it, and promptly bought the four books that were out. I read those books 10-15 times before book 5 came out in 2003. I like all the books and movies for different reasons. Movie 1 and 2 are very faithful to their source material, which I like, but are arguably lesser movies. Movies 3-6 diverge from the books significantly but I think it’s to the benefit of the movies. Movies 7 and 8 are pretty similar to book 7 since they split the book in two, so it covers most of it. As another comment mentioned the movies get progressively darker and scarier as you go along, and they get crazier as well. I hope you continue to enjoy them.

Woohoo.......The second one. Loving it. Thanks so much guys.......Can't wait for the next one. And trust me.....This movie wasn't that dark yet. ;-) They get so much better along the way.

Watching these movies and particularly this one I get the feeling JK Rowling had a bad experience or two with a professor or something "at university" as they say (do Canadians say "in college" like is generally said in the states, or "at university" like the Brits?). I took one of those quizzes and it said I would be a Ravenclaw, and I couldn't argue haha, the general characteristics were pretty spot on. But in the movies all the major Ravenclaws seem to be written as the most pompous, useless, spineless intellectual types lol

Just waiting patiently for the next one

J.K. Rowling suffered a lot in her life from depression and she was a victim of domestic abuse and a lot of other horrible stuff, it's easy to see why she created this amazing world to get lost in.

There is a hidden scene after the credits of the book shop window with a book called "Who Am I?" by Gilderoy Lockhart.

The second movie is still my favorite to this day. I think it's probably because I had this movie as a kid. I was 4 when it came out.
