Another great Edgar Wright movie: Last Night in Soho

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVGjeOpon28&t=5445s I love how at this moment, Simone's mind is trying to figure out the reality of how a band would actually conjure a yeti to fight. Oh...and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a yeti or not. It's a green eyed monster (because Scott is jealous of G-man/Gideon at that moment).

Absolutely! If you want oldscool hottor with the timing that can only come from someone that's mastered comedy.... Last Night In SoHo

Q: How do you know if you're talking to a vegan? A: There's three people standing next to them complaining about vegans. Some fun things seen in the Scott Pilgrim comic book: Time traveling jewelry A flying US state called Carolina in the Sky A country called Russia! (Possibly) Weapon proficiencies (you can chose one in grade 5, but then you can't even own items related to other proficiencies) (Scott choose longswords) (and that's why he's terrible at skateboarding) On top of all the weird stuff seen in the movie. So many outrageous things that would be a shame to assume are just figments of Scott's imagination.

Okay so I know I’m 3 years late to saying this, but we are not seeing the world through Scott’s perception or his imagination. It’s all literal. They have powers, they fight, they literally burst into coins. It’s actually happening in the reality of the movie and the comic. It’s science fiction and in the comic it’s super obvious because it’s sooooo much more over the top than this. would also LOVE to see a reaction to the TV series which is a sequel of sorts.

Scott Pilgrim is 6 books. Make sure you get the color versions, I found those to be more fun to read.

I don’t believe you’re supposed to like Scott.

Thanks for this reaction. I love this movie because how terrible a person the protagonist is. How the story is still entertaining and fun and even makes you root for someone that isn't very good gives a special place in my heart. The side characters are all much better people and it gives a great duality. Its a different style but I love it.

Nothing said about it but the evil X Roxy was played by the same actor that played the President's daughter in Independence Day if you didn't notice it. Just a fun tidbit since you just reacted to that movie last week.

Love Edgar Wright's style. Don't know if you guys have seen any of the Cornetto Trilogy movies yet (thought I heard you say you hadn't seen or at least reacted to any Edgar Wright films), and not that it would be in anyway necessary to appreciate them but I would recommend watching the British show "Spaced" if you get the chance, Edgar Wright directed, and starring Simon Pegg with Nick Frost. For one it's funny, and as a bonus, if you do see it, when you watch the Cornetto Trilogy you'll notice a lot of cameos and such from the show.

Brie Larson is actually a pretty good singer! The soundtrack/most versions of the versions of the song her group (Clash at Demonhewd) is by another band but Brie actually sang it herself in the movie version and at least for me I like it much better. They just released the version with her singing it herself years after the movie.
