I know this is an old video, but I just watched the full reaction and it was really great. One of my favorite movies. If you're looking for another almost flawless visual comic book-style movie, I'd recommend Dick Tracy. It's just as visually stunning, with great pacing and an amazing cast.

Robert Zemeckis is one of the greatest directors. BTTF is literally my fave film, but most of his stuff is amazing. If you like mystery/thrillers I recommend What Lies Beneath; brilliant Hitchcock-inspired thriller. Cast Away with Tom Hanks is also brilliant.

For more Bob Hoskins: Super Mario Bros. It gets a lot of flack but it's great fun!

It's funny you just watched Zodiac; the creepy basement guy voiced Roger Rabbit.

Check out « the movies that made us » on Netflix, there’s a full episode on this movie with a lot of behind the scenes stuff, a great complement

I'm latching waitch, but yeah, "Harvey is the movie that they are recommending to. Obviously it would make a great reaction, as it's wonderful.

This movie is very deceptive, as you guys are finding out. You think it’s cute and friendly, when it’s actually not. You think it’s just a story about murder, when the actual story is the dismantling of mass transit in America and the beginning of the age of individual car ownership. I saw this in theaters and it made quite the impression.

Just finished the reaction. You guys should watch Contact(1997), it is very good and Zemeckis did direct it. Other movies of note would be Romancing the Stone (1984) and Used Cars (1980). The sequel to Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, is not great. I also liked Death Becomes Her (1992), Cast Away (2000) and The Walk (2015).

The Inedible Mattman!

You really should watch some behind the scenes about this movie. It's a technical MARVEL! They hand painted every single cell of animation onto the film, meaning they had to have the forethought of EVERY single action the actors moved when filming.

You should definitely watch both Contact and Cast Away, both excellent Zemeckis films.

So much meticulous hand animation into the scenes! The first movie to include cartoons in a movie with camera motion. About how they did it, Corridor Crew/VFX Artists React talked about the excellent work in Who Framed. Among other things they react to/talk about good (and bad) visual effects, and sometimes other things like stunt choreography. They start to talk about Roger Rabbit around 12:10- https://youtu.be/4b2Jm2WWUl4 You might like a lot of their stuff, it overlaps with a lot of things you’ve watched, just saw that they have a new episode talking about Back to the Future. They also talk about the intent/shading with an animator/animation film director in this one- https://youtu.be/1CZLqssOQ6k

100% agree, I love both of these movies. Also, as JL pointed out above, Romancing the Stone would be a good watch too

I watched the behind the scenes stuff years ago but can’t remember much from it. I have the movie on Blu-ray and think there’s a bunch of extras I’ll have to go back and watch. Speaking of Blu-ray, I’m gonna really miss physical media when it inevitably goes the way of the dodo

If you're considering more Zemeckis I really like his animated rendition of "A Christmas Carol" with Jim Carrey and Gary Oldman. It would fit the season:)

The Disney characters weren’t actually an issue, Touchstone is part of Disney, it was created by Micheal Eisner to produce more mature movies that they didn’t want to use the Disney name on. So the Disney characters were basically in-house. Everyone else’s characters would have been the issue. That’s why Mickey and Bugs and Daffy and Donald are shown together, one of the conditions was WB characters had to have just as much screen time as the Disney ones.
