Noir Simone will kill you for reasons.

golfextreme

300 is another Frank Miller adaption that Simone will really enjoy. Lots of shirtless, extremely muscled men. Lol

Adam Wetstein

First time watching the unrated version. It is wayyyy more violent then the theatrical release. And I say not as good.

Adam Wetstein

The yellow Bastard plot isn’t even in the original cut.

Adam Wetstein

This like the Snyder cut of Justice League two completely different movies

Adam Wetstein

Simone you u are completely right Re Rory Gilmore her range is very limited.

Eik104

That squarespace commercial is fire 🤣🤣🤣

Githerax

Maybe I'm only agreeing because I'm scared of making Simone angry, but yeah she didn't emote like a noir girl, she read the lines like an actress.

Monica Alarcon

Frank Miller angry about his movie adaptations??? First time I'm hearing of this... you might be confusing him with Alan Moore... he doesn't even allow the movie adaptations to use his name in the "based on" credit..

Adam Wetstein

At mr bowman. It might’ve right. have not passed the censor here in Ontario or my dementia is kicking in

Kron0n

300 is by Frank Miller. If you want a similar tone comic writer, Alan Moore's V for Vendetta and Watchmen. They're both good.

Githerax

Yeah I looked it up, apparently he (and the rest of the world) didn't like Daredevil, Elektra, or stuff like that, projects he didn't have a personal hand in producing/writing/directing.

Dustin Lollar

Frank Miller was the priest that Marv killed in the confessional. And he also wrote this as a graphic novel first and then he turned it into this and like the Watchmen it was very accurate in the look to the graphic novel. He also did 300 which is also stunning in the graphic novel look he gives it.

Eric Taylor

Watchmen & Sin City >>>>>>>>>> 300

Thumbnail Simone: “Another movie reaction here in Sin City. I could hear George’s stomach growl like he swallowed an electric razor. With my flashy mug and his spit-shine wit, maybe we can sucker enough subscribers to keep him fed, the poor palooka.”

Steve Adoniz

Great reaction Also the Squarespace ad was AWESOME! Well done! Your thumbnail game is is STRONG!

Trent Hill

The unrated cut is done in a weird way. It doesn't flow as well as the theatrical one. I think you definitely see how the story is all intertwined better in the theatrical one.

Onur K Polat

I really like the cover pic on this one :)

MnemoniusMaxim

Simone, you are right about Becky. I saw this film opening night (and many times since), and I've always felt the Becky character was off. And I've never seen any of Alexis Bledel's other work.

mojo shivers

A great film that gives a new take on film noir is Brick. It moves the setting to high school and involves a missing ex-girlfriend and a missing pallet (or brick) of heroin. It was also Rian Johnson’s first film, which paved his way to later films like Looper and Knives Out.

James Quinn

And Rourke the Bishop (?) was Rutger Hauer... I don’t think they noticed 😬
