I'm guessing it will be Simone in a "witness me" pose.

I should be working but I *have* to watch this..

Fallout has taken inspiration from Wasteland, a very old c64 video game, the book/movie A boy and his dog, and Mad max. If you want more Mad Max lore I actually recommend playing the Mad Max game, as that is a pretty good mashup of the lore from all the previous movies, and its a pretty decent game :)

Fallout is inspired by multiple sources, which include Mad Max. The most blatant inspiration is actually the short story turned film “A Boy and His Dog” where a post-apocalyptic raider and his psychic tracking dog wander the wastes, eventually discovering an underground vault inhabited by a pre-war dystopian society.

Also, yes, Mad Max is one of the pillars of “Ozsploitation” films- Australian genre movies. So, canonically, the world of Max is Australian but much of this particular film was shot in the African deserts.

The Road Warrior still stands out to me over the other Mad Max movies because the male homosexuality is featured more prominantly in that film than the others. The later films seem to put that sexuality in the background. The visual style of the later films seems more like a zombie apocalypse than the homosexual sado-masochistic apocalypse of the Road Warrior. Or, maybe it's just that I wathced the Road Warrior when I was a kid and those visuals were still very new to me. I wonder if the homosexuality was toned down in Thunderdome because of AIDS. The Road Warrior still seems more bold in it's overall sexuality than the later Mad Max films.

I absolutely love the actor Bruce Spence who plays the "Gyro Captain" in The Road Warrior. Great comic relief and would of loved him to be partnered with Max after the movie into part 3. But alas...

I have suggestions if you make an animated movies poll: The Iron Giant (1999) and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993).

John Doe

You should watch Equilibrium. Great dystopian action movie with Christian Bale, Emily Watson and Sean Bean.

Why didn't George photoshop this thumbnail? It's just a regular picture of Simone.

"WITNESS ME!" = "Hold my beer ... watch this!" ;-)

The tanker was full of the Citadel’s chief exports- Mother’s Milk(tm) and Aqua-Cola(tm).

If you are curious then Id recommend going back to the originals to get the history of Max and see the progression of the films.

SuperMachoJediKnight

the bombs fell between the first and second movies. this is the same max from the first, so it's only a matter of...30 years, absolute tops, from 1 to fury road. some of his hallucinations are the kids in 3.

One of my all time favourites
