Simone, now you know why we megalomaniacs always love the scenes where you pet your cats... :-)... sooo many similarities... *evil-laughter*

It’s a classic. It’s super corny and I don’t know how well some of the jokes have aged, but a lot of the bits still kill and make me laugh far too much. However, I think my favorite is the next one, The Spy Who Shagged Me, with Heather Graham as the titular love interest. That one just takes the comedy formula here and runs with it. Lol

They are spoofs of bond films!

This is a parody of the 60's "Jet Set" of the idle rich. Think of the original James Bond, 007 stories. The style was all the rage with bright colors and frills. There are so many topical references: Andy Warhol with a Campbell's Soup Can, Burt Bacharach playing one of his most famous songs on the piano on the bus, The Bossa Nova music in the club with go-go dancers. Reminds me of growing up in the 60's.

I can’t recall if you guys have enjoyed the “ Bourne “ Series and the “ mission impossible “

has anyone enjoyed the "Bourne" series or are all of them in hospital due to whiplash and seizures brought on by the flashing of some many cuts.

Jack Lang

if you can get past the first three mission impossible's....the rest are pretty phenomenal the cinematography alone in all of them are worth the watch

George, if I remember correctly, there's a sequence in 'Singin' in the Rain' (1952) that does the 'walking down the boulevard' effect that they replicated in the Las Vegas bit (https://youtu.be/KLOReSoZUCY?t=688 in your Youtube cut) Here's the bit I was thinking of. Not quite the same, but a combo of an amazing stage set and it sure looks like some compositing going on too, at the end: https://youtu.be/oWG2zOLwBDs. It must've been a go-to effect for Hollywood directors back in the day. Off main topic, if you haven't ever seen 'Singin' in the Rain' and 'An American in Paris', check them out if only for the mind-blowing feature dance scenes Gene Kelly put into both of them; his imagination was greater than the capability of movie-making (in American in Paris, he dreams of dancing through several impressionist paintings), so it's interesting to see how they rendered his vision onto film with the techniques they had available in their day.

On a second note, George, why didn't we get a picture of Simone petting her Cat as Dr. Evil? Aren't you usually putting her face on the male protagonists and yours on the female ones?

.... i like the first three mission impossible the most ... especially 1 and 2 are by far the best for me

What you fail to realize is, Austin Powers's "Super Power" is.... The ability to make everyone around him, break out into dance!
