I know this is an older post but i was wondering if you had a spare bit of time if you wouldnt mind re syncing this reaction? for the full version your reactions are about half a second / a second ahead of the movie on screen, normally it wouldnt bother me but with this movie being based around the songs and timing it is just a tad frustrating 😅

mojo shivers

A recent classic. Going into the film I didn’t know what to expect but I’ve loved all of Edgar Wright’s films, especially Scott Pilgrim, so I knew he was more than the Cornetto Trilogy. I love everything about this film great—the story, the action scenes, and the variety of characters. But especially good are how the driving scenes are perfectly synced to the music. Amazing job here.

Blacky

Not just the driving scenes. For example if you rewatch the second opening, the "dancing in the street" part, you'll see the set and location dressing is also on the beat. You see objects and graffiti appear on the screen just as they are in the music, either word for word, or just an action or an object described. The brass miming is obvious, but one example at 3:46 in the Youtube edit, the "Yeah" on the tree trunk is sync to the "yeah" in the song.

Jeff K

I love Edgar Wright and Jon Hamm, and the driving in this movie is some of the best in movie history. Obviously, there's the elephant in the room of two of the leads being problematic, given everything with Spacey and some of the allegations against Elgort, so it's hard for me to go back and watch. But it really is such a well crafted movie, as expected from Edgar.

overdev

Im a big fan of Edgar Wright, not only his editing style is good even the writing is fantastic. He did something completly different with this movie and I still love it :)

Recommendations, for (mostly) criminals being good at what they do and/or driving: - Heat - Collateral - Drive - The Driver - Ronin - The French Connection - The first three Bourne films, starting with The Bourne Identity - Duel, Steven Spielberg's tv film that's so good that it was distributed as a feature film internationally (granted, it's probably not gonna be hugely popular on YT)

Mr. Writhms

The director of "The French Connection" (William Friedkin) seemingly tried to top himself with another fantastic car chase scene in "To Live and Die in L.A." (1985).

Brandon Meng

Someone mentioned it on a bigger list, but I'm gonna highlight it: Drive, with Ryan Gosling. Super under the radar film, compelling, great action, amazing score, that did really well with critics but seems like not so many people know about it. One of my favorite Ryan Gosling films for sure.
