Haven't done a TV poll in a while and we wanted to check up with you guys to see which of these shows do you want us to do next. Remember just like with movie polls, a show not winning the poll does not mean we will never watch it. It just means we will watch it a bit later.

The first 2 episodes of the winning show will be posted on February 28th.

Comments

YoureMrLebowski

i will be shocked if TLOU doesn't win. shocked.

Chris

surely we've got to do the wire. Just push on with it.

Roberto Abitua

Have ya'll watched BARRY yet? If not, that should sneak its way onto a pill eventually too 🧐 But these are +++ choices too.

Fuzzy Dunlop

This will be a run away clear winner

Jack Koehler

I know the Last of Us is really good and the iron is hot so to speak, but Andor is the best thing to come out of Star Wars in a long, long time.

Jack Koehler

I also think Sense8 should be added to future watch lists if it can be.

Marko T.

The Last of Us is amazing.

Mike

I've heard Andor is good, but Boba Fett was so horrible that it pretty much killed a life long love of star wars for me, I just don't care about that universe anymore.

Jeromy M

Archer Season 1 through 4 please

Eric S

Even if it doesn’t win (Clearly Last of Us will), I deeply recommend Andor. Best Star Wars we’ve maybe ever gotten. Alittle unconventional Star Wars, but excellent. Also would like to recommend the tv show Fringe. Amazing sci-fi show.

Andrew McMurray

If watching you guys do S2 of The Mandalorian taught me anything, it's that you guys need to watch Clone Wars

Anne Hummel

I know everyone is reacting to The Last of Us right now, but there is a reason for that! It's really really good! Also, a wish / suggestion for a show: The Sandman (adapted from the comic books by the same name, by Neil Gaiman and more). It's SO good!!

Jay

Ehhhh please tell me yous are going to finish The Wire at some point? I figured this was just to see what would be watched before season 3. And who is voting for The Expanse? I got the impression they were indifferent to the first 2 seasons, why not let them continue a show they both love?

Grumples

Throwing out the show Deadwood to hopefully gain traction to be added to future polls with fingers crossed

Jeff K.

Voted for The Wire, but I'm good with TLOU since I know y'all will get back to Wire soon enough. Season 3 is great, but then... man, I can't wait for George and Simone to get to season 4. A lot of people - myself included - consider it the single greatest season of television ever made.

UnSafeStu

Can I suggest Spaced, the British "sitcom" created by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg when their careers were just starting.

Ricardo Alanis

Hope Black Mirror is an option in the near future!

JayF

Still hoping the following make an appearance on a poll at some point - Breaking Bad Better Call Saul Battlestar Galactica (2000s reboot) Mindhunter Fringe The Sarah Connor Chronicles

J.R.

Feel like you should just finish shows (if you're enjoying them) before going on to new ones. Quite a jarring way to do TV shows for people following along, having to wait that long for The Wire season 3 is frustrating, if it even wins the next poll that is. I get this is just to try keep everyone happy and I fully understand if people disagree with me, just giving my 2 cents lol. Maybe continue with the wire and do 1 last of us ep a week on the side? Only if you can find the time, that is.

Cinebinge

Alright folks, just like with movie recommendations we have every intention to watch all the shows recommended in their entirety, it's only a matter of when and which first. However, as it's been half a year or more since the last tv poll and a lot of new patrons have joined us, we want to make sure everyone gets a say. If another show wins this poll it does NOT mean a previous unfinished show will be left abandoned. Regardless of our opinions on it. Since we don't need to worry about YT metrics with Patreon exclusives, patron opinions are all that matter so a poll for us to test the waters and gage interest is needed periodically. Again, we will finish all recommendations, just a matter of when and which first.

Black Heart Games

Definitely want you guys to continue The Wire, nothing else compares to it. If you really want a break for something completely different, might I suggest Ted Lasso? Also hope to see Breaking Bad on here at some point. Second best show of all time after The Wire.

Martin

The Last of Us by a country mile. Very excited to see your reactions to this masterpiece!

Jeff I.

I went with TLOU, but I'd love to see y'all do Succession on HBO at some point! It's a very well-written mix of comedy and drama. Excellent acting and good pacing as well. Surprised I haven't seen anyone else recommend it here (that I can recall).

Martin

Another suggestion for a future series: Euphoria. It’s dark, depressing, and utterly brilliant.

Damian

Just echoing pretty much every other comment here. Andor is phenomenal, I may be wrong but the show was split into 3-episode long chapters. So maybe worth watching/releasing in groups of three. I’m spitballing here, I have no real expertise if that makes sense or not. TLOU has started (very) strongly, everything that makes great TV is there (intriguing characters, great premise, etc and they’ve taken care over making the show), hopefully they don’t Games-of-thrones it up at the end. Also, I know you say you will watch the other shows, but Boba Fett explains what happens between Mando s2 and 3. I assume they’ll explain it, but there are two episodes which are basically extra episodes of the Mandalorian.

Nathan Swapp

Voted for Fett, not because I liked it but because of The Mandalorian season 3 (The Mandalorian season 2.5)

BDC

I thought Mare of Eastown was the best thing I saw in the last year, hands down. (I have not watched Last of Us yet, however.) I know it won't win here, but is absolutely worth it.

Tim Pierce

Why even ask? People like the new, shiny stuff, of course they'll want The Last of Us.

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

I was pleasantly surprised by Andor. Not much action, but great tension

Eddie Gomez

The Sandman would be pretty cool to check out as well.

cincassette

One of my favourite recent shows is HBO's "The White Lotus". It has inspired elements of satire, comedy and drama, and I've seen nothing quite like it recently. Hope to see you guys check it out someday. Can't go wrong with TLOU though, Season 1 has been excellent so far!

Ken Schneyer

Love, Death, and Robots adapts some of the best SF short stories of the last few decades, and is well worth your time.

Brian Harris

I’ve been avoiding The Last of Us because the zombie apocalypse feels SO played out. Is it really THIS good though, guys? I’m open to believing that, people really do seem to be going nuts over it … but really? That good? Like landslide against The Wire, Andor, and Mare of Easttown good? What are they doing that The Walking Dead didn’t do in its fifteen years on the air? It feels like there can’t be any zombie stories left to tell. Looks like I’m going to find out…

Śéáń

I am glad to see you guys are keeping the door open for Expanse S3. I know it didn't gel so well but appreciate that you're keeping it in the poll all the same. Great list too, I voted for most of the options so any's good 👀 For off/future poll suggestions, I'd submit Severance or Haunting of Hill House, if you've not seen them yet.

G0R0_!ch!B@n25

I would like to make a suggestion, Amazon's Reacher

E.P.B.F.

Voted for Expanse Season 3. I know the show is not that popular with our reactors, but that season is where the real payoffs for all the worldbuilding and setup which dragged the earlier seasons happen. It's also a lot tighter written and character driven with less focus on politics and intrigue and more space travel/action (specifically the hazards thereof).

Lester Yung

Andor was my favourite TV show of 2022, and The Last of Us is currently my favourite of 2023, so I wish I could vote for both 😥

G P

The Wire S3+4 please - zombies seem kind of played out, the other shows look pretty mediocre. You should watch Oz.

Liesmith

I vote for Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

E.P.B.F.

For future Polls can we include Deadwood? Great writing, great characters, _superb_ cast performances. Ian McShane is memorable in pretty much everything, but Al Swearengen is arguably the finest role he's ever played. Also if not Deadwood how about Justified. Again great writing meets excellent cast who just nail their parts. You can't really go wrong with Elmore Leonard, but when you add Tim Olyphant and Walton Goggins in his breakthrough role to the mix you get superior tv.

Stewart Denew

I'll throw out Cunk on Earth as a suggestion - writing team includes Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror) & Diane Morgan (who plays Philomena Cunk) is fantastic.

Gratch... just Gratch

You guys should do the show "Reacher". It's really fun, great dialogue. Good stuff.

Spacedone

I'd be happy for you to go straight into The Wire season 3 but now I'm thinking that maybe a quick reaction to S1 of Love, Death + Robots would be good for a bit of variation, especially since you could literally watch the whole season in one sitting since the episodes are short (plus it is great). I'd love to see your reaction to Andor (and to also have an excuse to rewatch it all agan). Personally not that bothered about TLOU. Everyone and their mums is reacting to that right now.

jose giron

Just a suggestion, I appreciate your sentiment on just doing seasons and not entire shows to make it fair for everyone but I will say, it makes it really hard for you guys to enjoy a show when in reality you might have a yrs long wait between seasons, it's going to feel disconnected and overall not a good experience. So instead I would suggest doing small 1-3 season shows, instead of shows like the wire which depending on how polls go, might take you a long long time lol this poll is a perfect example, how can I choose the ongoing series the wire or the expanse when the last of us is so hot right now and amazing, next time you have a poll it might be another hot show, putting off finishing the wire and the expanse even further. Just a suggestion though from a relatively new fan 🙏🙏

Tyler Foster

I've mentioned it before, but I'll mention it again: there's this TV show by the team that made Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz/The World's End, called "Spaced." It's two seasons of 7 half-hour episodes each so you could do the complete series very quickly, and I would love to see it on a reaction channel if only because the movie is packed with pop culture references that you would now understand *because* of the reaction channel (and it's a great show, of course).

HeyHeyJK

The Last of Us is so great you really do need to do that one.

Davide

The Wire Season 3. I would like to see your reaction to others tv shows like Mindhunter, the first two seasons of Westworld, the first season of Fargo and Dark.

Bill Woods

• _Slings & Arrows_ is a Canadian television series set at the fictional New Burbage Festival, a Shakespearean festival similar to the real-world Stratford Festival. It stars Paul Gross, Stephen Ouimette and Martha Burns. Three 6-episode seasons. • _From the Earth to the Moon_ 10-episode miniseries on the Apollo program by Tom Hanks.

MR

Continue with The Wire, obviously

Jeb Manning

I would suggest starting the original Transformers cartoon so you can eventually do the 1986 movie

Imtoooldforthisshit

As a big Andor Fan i hope that it will win the poll, allthough i think The Las Of US will make it. But i hope u will find the time to watch Andor, because its really worth the time and one of the best shows i watched recently und imo the best Star Wars series so far.

FranciscoGios

You know I have to go with Andor and The Last of Us. If George didn't make a mistake I can wait another six more weeks for another poll

Espen Svendsen

I mean, TLOU will win handily due to recency bias, which is kinda bad, since reactions to that is on every channel out there already for the exact same reason.

James Lawson

REALLY want Expanse Season 3. Once done I would be pretty content, just so frustrating how Season 2 basically blueballs you on all the stuff.

Obsolyeet

Lot of good shows here. But just recency bias alone will put The Last of Us out front.

Jeff I.

Since it looks like TLOU will win, I'm curious. George and Simone, have either of you played the games the show is based on?

James Whalen

How is Breaking Bad never on these lists? I’m guessing you’ve seen it already?

Peter Hudson

Starting at Season 3 is when The Wire really becomes perfect, so I hope we don't take too long to get back to it

Logan Kerlee

I've never actually watched The Wire before, Guessing that y'all have or you have on here at least. Happy to have another show to watch multiple seasons of! I'm excited. :)

Grand Moff Slackin'

How have you not watched The Last of Us already? What sort of Jedi level discipline do y’all have??

Lyonheart86(BryonH)

dont know if either of you ever watched, but I would have recommended Lost as an option

Matthew Langley

You definitely should return for The Expanse Season 3 at some time, that show just gets better and better.

MasterElodin

Did I miss something or why is The Boys Season 3 not on this? Been out for a while now and I didnt hear anything about it from you. Especially considering it ended on a cliffhanger :)

Lachlan Caldwell

The Magicians. Syfy Channel, 2015-2020. Based on the books by Lev Grossman. Imagine if Harry Potter went to college and did a whole lot of drugs, but during his more lucid moments he and his friends have to save the world😁 That’s basically the show.

Ben

None of these. Breaking Bad, Derry Girls, Freaks & Geeks. Edit: In case it sounded shitty, my "None of these" remark was tongue in cheek, however I do think it would be better to react to shows that have already finished. Personally I watch reactions to media I'm already very familiar with, very rarely do I watch reactions to movies/shows that are so new I'm still forming my own opinion on. Watching short lived shows (like Derry Girls and Freaks & Geeks) makes sense because you wouldn't have to keep taking breaks between seasons, you'll know there's an end in sight without leaving people waiting for the rest. Regarding Breaking Bad, yes there are 5 full seasons and 62 episodes, but I'm certain you will gain patrons from reacting to it. I've become a patron of two separate reactors purely because they began watching Breaking Bad, you should consider it!

Mike Miner

Have they both not seen Breaking Bad yet? It's not only necessary, but the first season is only 7 eps anyway, so it sounds pretty ideal to start with. And even if we have to wait between seasons... guess what... spoiler alert... TV shows normally take a year between seasons anyway!

Astraeos

I'll just say my final peace here regarding The Wire, mostly because I'm not clear on what your intentions are going forwards. You say in bold at the top of this poll that a show that DOESN'T win, could still get watched at some point. But for all that I've seen on this Patreon, every single show you watch is decided by a poll. So, please, please make the executive decision after this batch of shows over the next two months, to go just straight back into The Wire. The Wire will never, ever win a poll. You guys have seen this multitudes of times. Especially not when you design polls for The Wire to being going up against brand new, super popular shows. All I'm gonna say is, it would be a serious actual travesty for you guys not to watch the rest of The Wire. Like, just watch it in your own time at this point and don't even involve the channel. But you have to watch it. It is life changing, and you guys have not even got to the best parts yet.

micah

although the lowest votes, i think mare of easttown is the best on this list. it is a pure masterpiece throughout.

Young Blood Priest

I picked Andor. I’d like to see Killing Eve in a poll for a series. Am I alone on this?

Travis H

I want to continue with The Wire so that’s all I am voting for! Last of Us is fantastic. Andor was one of the best things Star Wars has ever done and this is coming from some who has completely turned against SW after Rise of Skywalker.

Rileymetal

Putting in a nomination for Black Sails

Drew Acheson

I know it’s longer than the others but I think you’ll both really like Fringe.

Ghostwriter

HBO's Rome seems like it would be tailor-made for reactors. It was basically HBO's warm-up act for Game of Thrones, with a bit of Band-of-Brothers camaraderie and a Gladiator-ish setting.

Michael Langille

I haven't seen any of those, so no vote this time. Not sure what you've already watched, but would love to see you react to Magicians, Mr. Mercedes, Dexter, Weeds, Supernatural, House, Chuck, Smallville, or new! Tulsa King, all are amazing.

Raymond DeGraw

I'd love to see you react to FX show, The Shield (not Marvel). Or perhaps, Once Upon a Time.

Travis H

Just a thought, instead of doing Last of Us as a Patreon exclusive you could do it like you did HotD. Last of Us reactions are doing well on YT (which could help the channel) and then you can continue with The Wire. Everyone wins. (Is this a selfish scheme so I/we can continue with The Wire? 100% Yes! But I’m pretty sure that I am correct in what I am saying.)

Jude D'Westmacott

I know he'll say no but I would pay good money to watch George watch Buffy. And I genuinely think he'd love it! New Patreon, love you guys, you bring us so much joy!

JFC

Fawlty Towers would be a great show to watch if they do a comedy poll, and if they haven't already seen it before. Two short seasons, and its considered the best British TV comedy ever.

Jeff K.

I feel like this vote is shaping up to tell George and Simone what the people (not all of the people, but most) want: knock out TLOU and then get back to Wire. I am fully on board with that. I am curious: have either of them played TLOU?

Aussiefeld

no intrest in any of those... Shows that could be good... Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Faulty Towers, Good Omens, Wednesday...

GBmain

Just The Wire unto death... Last of us is... ok i guess

Eric Van Horn

Some suggestions for other shows to react to. Forever, Dracula (the one with Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Terminator the Sarah Connor chronicles, Person of Interest, The Walking Dead (the first two seasons).

GBmain

On second thought I would be interested in something different like HBOs Rome, Hannibal, (first season of) Mr Robot, or we could add a second comedy TV slot. I'd love a reason to watch Community again but dare say they've both seen it... Idk i'm sure there's a lot of good stuff, none of it is coming to mind at the moment. Miniseries perhaps?... Haunting of Hill House, The Night Of..., Midnight Mass, Generation Kill, Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter, Ohhh FARGO TV series is amazing will blow you away

David Sumner

No Expanse Season 3?! That's when it really starts to get good!

Nemo-the-Red

Just popping in to say Love Death and Robots episodes vary from 10 -30 minutes per episode with a couple outliers, love the choices we have and the ones that are winning, just saying that LD&R is an easy watch

Ginger

Hey guys, you misspelled "Dark". :D Or if 3 seasons of a german show with subtitles are not a good idea, how about "His Dark Materials". I don't know if the fact that almost nobody is reacting to that is a good argument to do so, but the show is very much worth looking into.

Lindsay G

I'll nominate Our Flag Means Death. Watched it last week and really enjoyed it.

Chase Schleich

Guys, just so you know, you need to watch at least the last few episodes of Book of Boba Fett before you watch Mandalorian Season 3 or else you'll be very lost. Not saying you need to watch it on the channel, but at least in your personal time. Mando has his own episodes in the series which happen between seasons 2 and 3. So now season 3 will not start off where season 2 left us. A lot has happened since.

Jon Burrows

I’ll do a write in vote for Severance. My fav show of last year and maybe for a while but I’m not sure how many people have seen it given it is on AppleTV so it might not result in the desired boost.

braaap

just joining the chorus of many other commenters here, the tv show polls have always been pretty lackluster. the only tv show thats been decent for me so far was avatar. comedy suggestions that come to mind: flight of the conchords, always sunny in philadelphia, the office, black books, archer, barry. also, you have seen breaking bad i guess? because that's like the best tv show of all time.

Josh B.

I hope you guys do Legend of Korra at some point since you watched Avatar I know some people hate it but its still a good show and better than most cartoons out there

YoureMrLebowski

a little show on HBOMax called Deadwood would be nice

Christopher Greenley

Common people show Boba Fetts show some love. Season 3 of the Mandalorian. Is almost around the corner. They can't go into it. Without seeing the Book of Boba Fett first.

Christopher Greenley

Boba's show isn't exactly what you hoped it would be. But, I still find it enjoyable.

Dustin Merchant

Really hope you react to love, death and robots at some Point in the future. It's such an underrated show. Such a crazy variety between all the episodes.

Dustin Merchant

It's hit and miss in season two and three. The animation is almost always fantastic. But they definitely have better stories in the later seasons. Pop squad, the tall grass, and drowned giant from season two are great to me. Bad traveling and the very pulse of the machine are my favorites from season three. It definitely varies person to person which is part of the charm of the series to me. I don't think any of my friends agree on the best episodes from any of the seasons.

james repka

How about Rome, the 2005 HBO/BBC co-production starring Ciaran Hinds, Ray Stevenson, and a brilliant ensemble of stars brought together to tell the story of the early Roman Empire. Genius in its time but cancelled after the second season for costing less than half as much per episode as House of the Dragons and Westworld.

The Film Effect

I got the Patreon for The Wire. I can’t wait to see you get to seasons 3 and 4. Both are excellent, but season 4 is close to being the greatest season of tv ever.

Keith Bishop

It’s a limited HBO series from a few years ago but you can’t go wrong with The Watchmen.

Dakota

I'm hoping that for a future poll they add Gravity Falls. 2 brilliant seasons of a genius cartoon for any age.

Drew Acheson

Sandman on Netflix would be a really cool show for you guys to watch too!

Lyonheart86(BryonH)

I'm gonna recommend something very random. Id be curious to see you two react to the tv series ER ....Or Lost

Nemo-the-Red

Throwing out Interview with the Vampire for a future TV poll

miranda

putting NBC Hannibal out there for a future TV poll

Tarenor

When a new TV show poll will be in order, consider add Sandman (2022) by Neil Gaiman and Wednesday (2022). The first is incredible both lyric and epic world Neil Gaiman is master at creating (like his Stardust or Coralina).

Ricardo Alanis

I hope eventually Andor is on your watchlist. Given your Rogue One reaction I think you’ll really enjoy it. Also will continue to suggest Black Mirror given the upcoming Ex Machina and similar tone/genre. And a new season of Black Mirror is coming but they are mostly short seasons.
