Oh my good God, I am so excited to watch this later. Just the thumbnail alone has me hyped! Hope you guys liked it!

Jay Davis

I'm going to pretend that I'm mad that American Psycho wasn't first to avoid angering those who wanted it (but I REALLY wanted to see this first). So. Yay! Er, uh, boooo!

Martin

Yes, awesome news! Children of Men > American Psycho, IMO.

JediLounger

Who cares what order they come in. I voted for both so whatever.

Ricardo Alanis

I highly recommend Roma, probably my favorite Cuaron film.

Bruce Bromley

I too was hoping to see AP this week, but I do understand having to deal with the copyright bots and sanitizing the film for YT. CoM is also a great film.

Drew

This is one of my all time favorites. It just feels so *real*.

Dave Atcha

For me, this is easily in my Top 5. This, and V for Vendetta, regularly chillingly pop into my idle thoughts, and obvs struck a nerve with me being a Londoner!

Opti_Frog

For me, Children of Men blows American Psycho out of the water on almost every level. I've very much enjoyed Alfonso Cuarón's work ever since i saw Y tu Mamá También.

Black Heart Games

Love this movie. One of my favourite films of all time.

pedantech

Wish the movie poster hadn't been so spoilery.

Steve Mercier

Notice how all the animals...the still fertile animals, which would otherwise reclaim the earth...are drawn to Theo. Theo is the shepherd of the future.

Warwick Stinson

Thanks. Was so good to be prompted to rewatch this excellent and moving film.

sarCC

Excited for Harold & Kumar!

Tenn Seven

George Carlin also said something like, "how do we know plastic is bad for the Earth? Maybe that's why we exist; Earth needed plastic, we started making it, now it's got enough and it's getting rid of us."

Kyle Baker

If you want Cauron recs, then you should watch Roma.

wroot

10/10 for me. When watching first time, didn't even notice i was crying during that scene with going out warzone and everyone touching them, stopping fighting. Didn't thought about long takes back then, but it did increase the immersion greatly. As for other movies, i see a lot of praise for Roma, but haven't seen it yet. So, the obvious suggestion is Gravity. It is very different, but the quality of film making is very much there.

Grand Moff Slackin'

“Gravity” is also a great Cuarón movie. One of my favs.

MrHolbyta

Cinefix has a great breakdown of what's happening visually in that scene. Excellent filmcraft.

Persnickity

Wow forgot how good this movie is. The long shots are super impressive. Another great reaction from yall!!

JayF

If anyone here is a fan of King Crimson and their song Court of the Crimson King that's featured in this movie you should listen to the instrumental version that Doc Severinsen (Johnny Carson's band leader for 30 years) did - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tpu5jWEuZg

Tenn Seven

After watching this movie and everyone being so terrible to one another you almost want the human race to die out in the end.

Spacedone

And that's why this movie is in my Top 5 of all time. It's just soooo good.

Spacedone

The only thing that depresses me now about this movie (and at the risk of getting political) is that a vision of Britain in 2027, from a novel published in 1992 and a film shot in 2006, is sadly closer to reality in some ways in 2023 than anyone thought possible. The rhetoric and policies around refugees and asylum seekers from the Govt and some of their supporters wouldn't be that much out of place in this film.

Odd Thomas

There's a really long take in Atonement, set in Dunkirk. Great shot but a great movie, period.

Erika Rangel

The Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter series) is another Alfonso Cuarón movie that you have seen from him. I would definitely recommend "Gravity" and "Y tu mamá también" first, then one of my favorites is Roma (it won best foreign film at oscars 2019) a love letter from Cuarón to the place where he grew up, his family and his housekeeper / babysitter.

Odd Thomas

You've already seen one of his movies: Prisoner of Azkaban which, for my money, is still the best HP movie. Gravity needs to be your next Cuaron movie: it's basically 6 long takes stuck together, it's crazy.

olly.enn

"Children of Men" was shot on film, not on a digital camera (including the car scene). ;)

Brant

Really hope that little In Bruges reference means you’ve got that one in the can to be released soon.

Brandon Meng

Seeing this movie on your channel is an absolute delight. One of my favorite movies of all time. Probably a top 5. And a top reaction to this movie from you both, so thank you. I really felt like you both captured the emotional weight during the most crucial scenes. The director has other good films others have mentioned but I feel like this is his best. Nothing beats the story and the emotional weight of the film.

JayF

I just can't get into this one at all. I've been watching on and off all day and I'm only halfway done. The premise seems to be that they are trying to save the human race while the movie gives zero examples (at least thus far) of why our survival would be a good thing. Edit - I finally got through it. It kept getting worse. I wish I could go into more detail but I don't think there's a way to spoiler tag anything here.

Martin

To whom it may concern: It is with great regret that I’ll be cancelling my subscription to this channel. I found George’s comments during this movie to be very hurtful. Sincerely, Froley Bazouka Johnson III

FranciscoGios

My favorite Alfonso Cualron movies are this one Children of Men & HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Great tear me a river Simone definitely felt the same while watching your reaction. You and George made my Saturday complete thank you

Hector M.

Lets goooooooooooo!!! this is in my Top 3 of all time if not Number 1!! Truly special!!

Monica Alarcon

Watched this reaction on a saturday morning... for fun...

Vito

About as masterful a movie as has been made this century.

Logan Kerlee

Totally understand that you're having issues, so no worries! Happy that we're getting quality content in any case. :)

Monica Alarcon

Another great but little known movie starring Clive Owen is Shoot 'em Up... I hope you consider it...

warcrimes

Knew you'd love it, glad y'all finally got around to it. An underrated gem.

Odd Thomas

It got a LOT of praise in the comments so I think they will at some point

Jay

I'd forgotten how good this film is, it's rare to be on the edge of your seat during a 3rd or 4th viewing. It grabs you right from the opening seconds and never lets go. Cuaron is one of the best filmmakers around, Y tu mama tambien is an all time favourite of mine. You want another film with Ruby Tuesday? The Royal Tenenbaums...... any excuse to the bang the Wes Anderson drum:) I know he's not to everyone's taste but I think he's right up Cinebinge's alley.

Lannisen

Here's to the three MVPs, Jasper, Miriam, and Marika.

Astraeos

Shockingly close to V for Vendetta as well, with the anti-privacy, no protesting, etc. I want to go to Great Britain and Ireland more than anything in the world, and I fear that it will be completely locked down by the time I even can afford such a trip. I might have to make concessions and just go to London for a shorter time or something, because I truly, truly worry about the immediate future of the UK. They went straight down the tube even faster than the USA in the last 6 years
