Content
With today's update we've nearly hit the 900 magic item mark! Here's everything you can expect this month.
This Week's Podcast!
Episode 14 of our Dungeons & Dragons Talk Podcast is releasing this week, Patreons get the RAW, UNCUT version on Thursday. This episode's RAW version has over 28 minutes of extra content! We're joined by Justin and Taylor from 'So You Wanna Be A DM' to talk about using inspiration from art and media in Dungeons and Dragons.
We'd also like to thank everyone who has downloaded, listened and shared the Podcast. March was our best month yet according to our Podbean analytics and our YT Shorts have been doing very well. Remember to leave a rating on Spotify, or a review if your app of choice allows you to!
Free Monsters for April
The last few weeks of March were productive ones on Robbie's Twitch stream, and we got a LOT of new monsters made. This month's free content will be a collection of our homebrew monsters. If you follow and stop by the stream you can even help Robbie make a few!
The Crit Awards
For those unfamiliar, the Crit Awards have officially started today! The Crit Awards aims to celebrate and recognize the TTRPG community with a focus on inclusivity, diversity and community values. It's for the small, independent creators and getting nominated and winning is reliant on you! We'll have another post up tomorrow about how you can help, but in the mean time if you want to learn more check out the Crit Awards website.
We'll be releasing the Oneiraxi Expanded species for everyone to download as one of our hopeful entries for the Crit Awards!
Malzari Coming Soon
Our release for April is a new species, the Malzari, which we've talked about a bit here and there. Tieflings are born when fiendish influence affects a person, and an Aasimar when celestial powers do. But what if someone was affected by both? The Malzari are born of the Light and the Dark.Art for the Malzari is nearing completion and the writing is nearly done, so the layout and editing is all we'll need to do. Please look forward to it!
June Content Poll
We held and finished our first content poll a couple weeks ago to determine what we'd be making for our May release and the winner was the Spell Thief, which tied with Arcane Vampire. We had our artists break the time with what they were most excited to create for.
First round deliberation for the June Content Release will be in our Discord soon for Patrons, so check out the Patron-Only channel to help voice your opinion and decide our final 5 or 6 choices.
New Magic Items
And finally, here are the newest additions to the Magic Item Library! This brings our total magic items to 898, so we'll break the 900 mark next week.
Tumbles Tipsy Tonic (Illustrated). A fey tonic with both curative properties and wildly unpredictable ones.
Chameleon Web Sphere. Also referred to as a Plasmoid Grenade, this throwable item will restrain enemies and make it hard for their allies to free them.
Busker's Instrument of Parody. This magical instrument is made for the moment and can entice any individual to join in on the performance.
Lover's Cannon. A literal cannon. It takes two people to load, but it packs the biggest punch.
Rose's Silver Thorn. This weapon is more reliable at dealing damaged compared to others like it and has increased ranged.
Fascinating Tome of Fairy Tales & Fables. This magic book of Fairy Tales can impact many lessons upon one who reads it. But it has a curse and those who aren't cautious could find themselves literally amongst its pages.
Death's Memento. A magical medallion made to protect you from the embrace of the afterlife and send your does into it much faster.
As always, if you've read this far, thank you so much for support. Whether you're a paying patron, or you just stop in once in a while to see what we've been up, it all adds up and helps more people find us.
If you have any feedback you'd like to share on any of our content, you can do that in the Discord, in the community chats on Patreon or on this form. Also, if you'd like to have one of your D&D stories read on the Podcast we're always accepting AITA Stories from the perspective of your character!
