961 Magic Items & July Content General Poll (Patreon)

Happy Pride Month to all of our LGBTQIA community members! We've got new D&D items, a collaboration, and a chance for everyone to help decide what Dungeons and Dragons subclass, species, or one-shot comes next! Read on for the details.

Aethermane Pegasus Collaboration

Something we've wanted to do since we started Cloaks & Capes was collaborate with other D&D artists and creators. Anyone who has been by our stream knows that we believe collaboration is one of the greatest strengths of TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons.

We're currently in the process of our first one with ArcaneAffinity for a creature called the Aethermane Pegasus. ArcaneAffinity helped conceptualize the creature, brought it to life with art, and Robbie worked on the stat block (with Twitch chat!) and the lore.

Look forward to this in the next couple weeks, and hopefully, more collaborations to come!

July Content General Poll

Part of the process of choosing what we make each month is shaped by the community at large. While we give final voting polls to Adventurer and up Patrons, we let everyone help decide by holding a general interest poll on stream and in the Discord. If you go to the discord now and check out the #TTRPG-games-chat channel, you'll find in the Pinned Posts one by Robbie with a whole HOST of ideas for subclasses, species, and other content. Just reply to that comment, and list off anything you find interesting (no limits!). This general interest poll will determine what final 4-6 options we choose for the July Content Poll.

New Magic Items

Finally, the magic items that have been added to the Magic Item Library, are included here!

Cephalosword (illustrated, see top of post). This isn't a new item, it released a few weeks ago, but it has a sweet new illustration courtesy of Butturd Apple!

Nameless Weapon. This talking weapon doesn't know when to shut up, but it does pack a pretty good punch. It also protects you from Psychic damage, if you can get past it's moral worries for being used to enact violence.

Halo of Celestial Presence. It's said this magic halo once belonged to an angel. Will you put it to use in the name of good, or evil?

Mercy's Left Bracer of Friendship. A friendship bracer created by someone named Mercy! If you share this and the other between you and a friend, you'll be bestowed with the power to protect, or the power to attack, with your friend!

Mercy's Right Bracer of Friendship. It's just the other bracer!

Boggle in a Bottle. If you've never met a boggle before...they secrete a sticky OR oily substance. These can be very useful. Also, don't worry, the boggle wants to be in the bottle. It's actually their home. Just be nice.

Dark World Charm. An odd piece of material from a World of Darkness, if you're brave enough to explore its powers, it could help you achieve your goals, or lead you into darkness.

Freaky Tasty Tankard. This mug lets you change the taste of ANYTHING inside of it. But if you share a drink with a friend...thinks might get a bit freaky.

If you've used any of our items so far and are having fun with them, or if you have some notes or critiques on mechanics\balance, you can leave us feedback here! For items, subclasses, species, or one-shots!

We want to take the time to once again thank you. Your support, even if it's just reading this and leaving likes and comments, means so much. We've been growing pretty steadily lately, meeting all kinds of new people on the Twitch Stream. If you'd like to take a more active role in the community, please join us in the Discord as well!
