The Living Dolls are a Homebrew species for use in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition tabletop role-playing game. They are a species that was given life through a chance mix of strong emotional resonance and magic, turning a simple toy doll or figurine into a living, sentient being.

Dolls are made to imitate life, they are the culmination of a creative pursuit, and often were a labor of love and passion. When a Living Doll is 'born' they often embody these traits in some respect. They have a wonder for the world around them, pursue creativity in some way, and a rabid curiosity of the lands they travel through and the people they meet.

Living Dolls can revert back to their original doll form at will, allowing them to rest more quickly, but at the loss of movement and a dulling of their senses. They're also resistant to having their form changed against their will, and have an uncanny ability to mimic the actions of those around them.
