I was just thinking about your tracks of the week! I like the idea of subtitling the bundles, its almost like they have tags within their genre. I look forward to hearing your horror tracks! I definitely could have used these two tracks a couple of months ago when i was sound designing a fantasy eldritch story lol

I'd say melodies are great. I still use them in my projects, but atmospheric tracks are more versatile usually and fit in many different types of projects, so I can see why they're more popular. I like the idea of subtitles and tags. Helps to know what kind of fantasy or sci-fi you're getting, as those genres are quite broad. Like with sci-fi, an atmospheric track I'd use in a game set in space will likely sound much different than one in some dystopian city. Ahah.

THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM HORROR THIS OCTOBER. ... whole lot of it coming up, as you'll see in today's post. And luckily, the fantasy music has no expiration date, so it'll last until you get back into that genre!

I'm going to include some tracks with enough melody or rhythm to not be ambient, but remain 'atmospheric,' which is not exactly a scientific distinction. But I think I can manage to fulfill at least some aspect of that term's intended meaning. There is a delicate balance of marketing and semantics going on here, like alchemy.
