I really like these. The memories one really does feel contemplative and reflective, and the contamination one is making me feel like I'm in some place where something is not quite right. Regarding my favourite sci-fi non-Star Wars music, I'll list some that I like. From games: - Deus Ex (the original one had a kickass soundtrack, and the Human Revolution also had an excellent soundtrack with a memorable main theme "Icarus") - XCOM games (the battle tracks and troop deployment tracks really get you going and ready for battle) - Main theme for Mars: War Logs (really conveys the sense of hopelessness and dystopia) - Some soundtracks from smaller indie games and visual novels, such as Dry Drowning, The VII Enigma, Bionic Dues, Star Renegades, Robothorium, Axiom Verge, The Last Federation. From sci-fi films, the ones that come to mind are: - The Matrix films - Terminator main theme - Tron: Legacy - Inception

That Mars: War Logs theme really is quite oppressive. That's a good one. I ought to revisit Deus Ex someday. I played it a long time ago, and found it very good but other games stuck with me more. Never did play Human Revolution. I'll have to check out some of the indie game scores you cite. I liked Don Davis's Matrix scores a good bit, and yeah the Terminator theme is a classic too. Lots of good picks there.
