Aw man I love Nitrous Oxide! You're really nailing the 80s vibe. Awesome tracks! Mmm my highlights from 2022? Music-wise, I'm a total soundtrack nerd and I rarely listen to "normal" music anymore, so my music highlights would all be soundtracks I guess. Following the 80s theme, I've recently played part 2 of a visual novel I like (Arcade Spirits), which is set in an alternate reality where the videogame crash of the 80s never happened and arcades became a mass phenomenon, and I quite enjoy their soundtrack. The author is Greg Mirles. Very fitting for the theme, very arcade-y, lots of synths everywhere. I'd also like to mention your music, because I did discover you this year, and I've really been enjoying listening to your tracks as you make them, and getting to use some in my projects (even if I don't have as much time to work on those projects as I'd like). So you're part of my yearly highlight too! Apart from music, I have spent most of my free time playing Minecraft (lovely OST) and I haven't had that much time to read stuff or watch shows this year. I should probably mention the show "What we do in the shadows", a vampire-themed mockumentary based on the movie by Taika Waititi. I'm on season 3, hilarious stuff. I've also had a lot of fun with the Harley Quinn animated series, right up my alley. Some of the main themes and leitmotivs in the OST are pretty cool as well (notice my soundtrack obsession yet?). Off the top of my head, those would be my highlights. Feel free to share yours too, you often share very cool stuff I didn't know about. Best wishes!

Thanks for the compliment, and for the recommendations. I need to check that stuff out. It's kind of an odd quirk of creating a lot of music that I don't actually get to listen to much music for the sake of enjoyment. Many people listen to music while they work. For me, well... I guess I'm listening to mine as I make it but that doesn't really count. I'm going to make a 'stuff I liked in 2022' post before the year runs out.
