Revolusound Team Pack 2.0 - Development Update (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone,
Our sound import tool has improved enormously over the past few weeks.
It now gives us much more control, freedom and precision when rebuilding and integrating engine sounds into the game. We can manage far more elements than before, correct issues more accurately and create imports that behave much more naturally within Forza's audio system.
There is also a possibility that the project could eventually be expanded to Forza Horizon 5.
However, this is only being considered at the moment. Nothing has been confirmed, development has not officially started, and you should not expect an FH5 version unless we clearly announce one in the future.
The next update will once again include a complete rework of the previously imported sounds.
Our current import method contained a few small technical errors. The sounds were audible and generally worked in-game, but some samples were not being selected and played in the most logical way by the game.
In other words, the result sounded functional, but the internal behaviour was not yet as clean or accurate as it should have been.
Thanks to the improvements made to our tool, we are now rebuilding and correcting these imports so that their structure, transitions and playback behaviour are much more consistent.
Backfires are also being completely reworked.
This includes the backfire sounds themselves, their profiles, their behaviour and their frequency, based on the feedback and observations collected since the previous release.
The next update is currently expected to contain almost 50 imported engine sounds.
Because of the amount of new content, rebuilt imports, corrected systems and additional improvements, this update will not be released as version 1.2.
It will officially become Revolusound Team Pack 2.0.
This update will take considerably more time than our previous releases. I will also probably reduce my activity and presence on Discord/Patreon for a while so that I can focus properly on development without constantly interrupting the workflow.
This does not mean that the project is inactive. Quite the opposite: a large amount of work is currently happening behind the scenes. We would also like to officially welcome @araujooaoj to the Revolusound Team.
He is now fully part of the project and will contribute to its development alongside the rest of the team. We are very happy to have him with us, and we are looking forward to building the future of Revolusound together.
Thank you for your continued support, patience and trust.
More information, previews and development updates will be shared as progress continues.
