Heyyy 👋, I just recently joined your patreon because I saw you will be doing more txt reactions soon and decided to watch your previous txt videos while waiting for the members' guide parts. This may be a bit of a long comment, so i apologize beforehand. While I love your analysis and think it's a great interpretation, the song has a bit of a different intention. It's the first track from their album The Name chapter: Temptation, which is inspired by Peter Pan, who is also the devil by the window in the song. As you already know from the guide, their musical storyline deals with the theme of growing up and this specific album explores the Temptation of escaping reality and going to Neverland, where you can enjoy the happiness of being a child forever. The five tracks of the album: Devil by the windows, Sugar rush ride, Happy fools, Tinnitus and Farewell, Neverland all tell the continuous story of that temptation. As the first song dbtw portrays Peter pan tempting the boys, who towards the end of the song decide to yield and are "slowly drifting into the sky" as Peter Pan would tempt kids and then fly them to the island of Neverland where they would never grow up. The rest of the songs follow the narrative by sugar rush ride portraying the boys literally riding a sugar rush, caused by the accepted Temptation, then Happy fools where they say they would rather be happy today than worry about tomorrow, even though people are calling them fools for it. Tinnitus is basically them recognizing that their dream that "used to shine brightly" is now gone, leaving only tinnitus, which is the medical condition of ringing in the ears. Farewell, Neverland is one of my favorite songs and is the members coming to terms that they need the leave Neverland, as it is just un illusion ("a paradise is just a lie) and they need to face the reality of growing up. It would be great if you have the time and energy (+ desire) to check out all their music in order, because the storyline is indeed magnificent as it's a very beaten portrayal of our worries and experiences during our adolescence. Furthermore, txt are constantly referencing towards their older songs and symbols, making it hard for people reacting to individual songs to grasp the full meaning behind it. Anyway, love your reactions and can't wait to get more of our Tomorrow x Together!! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for the breakdown! I hadn't really thought of doing the discography in chronological order. It is very tempting to do for a group that seems to be so narrative driven. The Patreon community ultimately (in most situations) decides what I react to, but now I'm making a note to add to the next poll for TXT music the option to react to their music in chronological order. Thank you for the suggestion!
