Lol, I instantly dropped what I was doing to come watch this once I saw it was posted. I had seen an email that you were trying to do a livestream, but when I checked on patreon I didn't see anything, so I was worried maybe I missed it hahaha. Also I second the opinion of Jessica, livestreams are fun on YT but if it's a choice between you not being on cam at all vs. it being recorded, I'd personally rather just stick to recorded videos! Obviously your choice though, especially if you feel YT livestreams just aren't feasible. I will say, If any reaction channel is gonna do videos with just their voice and no camera, at least you are actually a pretty vocal reactor! We aren't dependent on reading facial expressions to know what you think cause you normally just say it anyways, lol. So it would be fine either way.

Welp this is a long enough reaction that I shall have to watch it in parts, but to comment on some stuff so far lol: I think for me personally it's fairly easy to associate the members faces from many years ago (even pre-debut when some of them were literal children) with what they look like today just because a lot of them have very distinct features. But also I have been following their music ever since they debuted, so even if I didn't know all their names I've had the advantage of seeing their faces morph as time goes by lol. Also in terms of why S.coups was on hiatus as the time, I'm not positive when that clip was from but as far as i'm aware he's gone on hiatus twice, the first time for mental health purposes and the second time because of a leg injury. I wanna say that clip was after his first hiatus? But I may be wrong. I'm still learning lots as i'm going because, as you've pointed out, it's impossible to catch up 😅

I was out when this dropped and as soon as I got home, I clicked on this to watch. It is now past midnight, but I HAD to watch this haha. Really interesting...I enjoy this guide. I think I am getting to know a bit of what these guys are like. love seeing all their pets. Ooohhh was that your husband's first cameo on one of your videos? Felt like waving at the tv...silly, I know lol.

I know that I would prefer to be able to see your face for a reaction...I know that the YT livestream of the intro guide was a bit choppy, but it wasn't that bad at all and didn't harm the viewing experience. Do you want to livestream through patreon for the patreon community and/or no copyright issue(s)? Because I believe that you can private/unlist a YT livestream, and then share the link for it through a patreon post. Since unlisted videos do not get copyright, I would think an unlisted livestream would not as well..? hopefully...

Okayyy finally finished watching lol. Good job on already recognizing S.Coups in other clips!👏 Fortunately these guides are in depth enough that it actually gives a little time to remember their faces lol. Another thing that may be helpful for some of them is laughs! Coups has a veeeery distinct, high pitched, choppy laugh you'll probably come to notice as you watch more content. And then Vernon, bless him, sometimes sounds like a goose when he laughs and it's my favorite thing. You'll hear it eventually. I'll be already laughing watching content, but the second I see Vernon just collapsed onto one of the other members, eyes shut, honking with laughter I always end up crying laughing 😂 Speaking of Vernon, I believe he was raised fully bilingual! I think largely because English is mostly what him and his younger sister (Sophia, who also has a YT channel) use to communicate with their mom.

Same lol! Honestly I may have actually waved, not sure 😆 Also getting to know what the guys are like is such a fun surprise because a lot of them were...very different from their "images" I guess? In the same way that someone might initially see dark rapper, gym-rat Binnie as more intimidating, and then it turns out he'll jump at the chance to do aegyo, is such a softie, and spends half his time on camera trying to romance Hyunjin 😂 A lot of the SVT members gave me the same kind of whiplash as I got to know them more ahaha

Thanks for the reaction :D Here are some answers to your questions/comments. 1. S. Coups did leave for a mental health hiatus back in 2019 2. They are super inclusive! The members are always making sure that the quieter members get screentime/get their opinions heard, which is really nice to see. Especially in a group as loud and chaotic as Seventeen 3. When the members were on the phone with Mingyu, they were complementing Bumzu (the other guy in the live who is one of their main producers and works a lot with Woozi) and ignoring Mingyu lol, which is why he kept interrupting them and reminding them that it was his vlive haha 4. Just some more context for that one clip of baby Vernon. He actually was bullied quite a lot during his school days because he is mixed. I think he ended up dropping out of school at grade 8 (?) because of this as well as the time commitment and pressures of being a trainee. Hopefully that helps put some of the clips into context. Thanks again for taking the time to really dive into Seventeen. You won't regret it 😉

Thank you. Wish I could do a full reaction video on Patreon, but they only allow for a webcam livestream, and I can't do a screen capture at the same time as a webcam so both myself and the video are on the display at the same time. Maybe it will be one thing Patreon improves on in the future, because I do enjoy the livestreams, but if I get too many copyright claims on YT during a video (and these long compilation videos have a lot of copyright claims) then YT just turns off the stream.

Yeah, I was trying to do the unlisted YT livestream just for Patreon. These compilation videos have a lot of copyright claims, and I think the magic number for YT is 6 before they just shut a livestream down if you're posting it publicly. But. I unfortunately found out that the only way I can use an unlisted YT video to do a livestream on Patreon is by using the "webcam" option. Which does not allow me to add the picture-in-picture feature. No idea why Patreon limits that, because I would do a bunch of livestreams on Patreon if they didn't.
