There is no fixed lore within Seventeen (unlike Ateez with pirates and alternate universes). But the theme of Maestro MV is human vs AI. So the question “Who is the real MAESTRO?” is for us to think: with the extensive use of AI nowadays, are humans still in control of AI or is it the other way around? John Connor from Terminator would’ve loved this concept XD The song is the title track of their best-of album that came out this year, basically saying that they are masters of their craft within their 9 years career in KPop. And they want to emphasize that within the music world, where AI generated music/lyrics/image has become a norm, they are maintaining their originality and keep creating/producing music by themselves.
