It hurts so much to see IN cry. I cant imagine just how much pressure they all were under. The sad thing is that I do think MNET focussed on it even more because he is the youngest on the show. While Ateez is the youngest team, IN was the youngest participant, and I dislike that they capitalised on his emotions like that.

Interesting, I took Chan saying he couldn't even hug I.N anymore was because I.N has gained a lot of muscle recently compared to when he was younger so it's hard for Chan to wrap his arms around him lol but I.N has never really been one for skinship so him not wanting a hug in that moment would make sense too!

I know it's a sad time for parents when their kids reach that age when they don't want to hold hands or get a kiss or whatever. I'm guessing that's kind of what Chan was talking about. He knew I.N from when he was pretty young, and he's going from being a kid to a man during this time.

The more often I rewatch Skz performance the more impressed I am how obviously they made it about Hyunjin without ever mentioning his name. They might as well have called their version Hyunjin with how obvious they made it. The 8 rings, 1 of them beeing for "someone they treasure", as said multiple times. The ring is with the boy statue. After the boy disappears they take down heaven and earth to get him back. "Forbidden negotiation", "Always on my mind, 24/7 365, Promise to be by your side Swear to God I'll risk my life No hope but still I try 'Cause all I hear from you are cries." etc, etc. I like to think it was them simultaneously telling Hyunjin "we havent forgotten you, were doing our best, we will get you back" and telling the company "there is no line we are not willing to cross for Hyunjin, we can be the bad guys, we can risk our careers, whatever, we will do whatever it takes". Powerful stuff.

So sad that Hyunjin couldn't be with them for Kingdom, but I agree, he was there with them in spirit all the way.

It's so hard seeing I.N. so upset. Not just because he's the youngest, but also because it's so rare to see him cry. And since a recent 3 Kids Room we now know that he continued to cry when they got home. Thankfully, although he was clearly embarrassed by it being brought up, he could laugh about it now and actually took it as a starting point to grow better and stronger, but it's still very hard to know he was that inconsolable. But yes, I agree that it's great to get these little nuggets of insight into their group dynamics and character. Lee Know being the first to point out how hard I.N. worked, Han immediately adding to that. Chan consoling I.N. Even if he couldn't hug him now. I don't think we actually know which other team voted for them, but I'm positive BtoB voted for them. They were so impressed. And they gave them signals at the judging. Support. Yeah, I'm sure they voted for them. Interesting what you said about expert judging. Later on we find out some of those experts. And it's an interesting mix of people. Experts aren't always interested in the same thing the public is. The what you call artsy fartsy stuff is something they really value. Anyway, my top 3 was the same as yours, although my Stay-heart couldn't put them in the third place. I just couldn't. Loved all three of those stages. But Skz...well....anyway...I agreed with you on the top 3 and was very disappointed seeing not just Skz, but also BtoB not score well. They both deserved more. Well, on to some fun stuff. Loved the next episode and looking forward to your reaction to it. DOn't think I'll watch it now. It's past midnight and I was trying to stay up for the MTV VMA, but man...I don't think I can do it. It's late and I'm sleepy (maybe that's why I am writing longer and longer comments. Sorry about that).

No worries about longer and longer comments. This was a tough one to pick a top three on. So many good performances, and they just keep impressing as the weeks go on.

I totally agree with your top 3 and I think it's regretful that the experts placed them so low in the rankings. But I tried to approach it with another mindset. The story told by Stray Kids' performance in this round involved a deal withe devil, and I don't know if it played against them or not but I can imagine it being a bit... unwanted by some. The whole idea of selling your soul and sacrificing a heart could be unsettling in some countries. Again, I wouldn't know if it's really revelant since I do not live in South Korea, neither do I know anyone there.
