the episodes where i somehow learn to hate orochimaru even more...and where sasuke loses his spot in my favorites list......i'm not mad, just disappointed...LMFAOOO i trust he can make it back in there (im scared)

it is also sooooo interesting to see what sasuke and itachi's home life was like. very excited to share more!

For future reference, naruto drops will be as follows:

Friday, 10/31: Episodes 130-131Monday, 11/3: Episodes 132-134/135?Wednesday, 11/5: Episodes 135?- end???? i've been notified episodes 141, 142, and 220 have both filler and canon stuff (with some of the filler being half the episodes or more, and that i may not understand due to not watching previous filler episodes) so ill be putting it all in there. hopefully it makes sense to have all those together... 🤔

i would also like to do a debrief/Q&A of OG naruto before starting shippuden (similar to what i did for Fruits Basket and FMAB), cause i would love to talk about everything that happened, my fav characters, arcs, etc. i will make a post either later this week or early next week asking for questions if you have any for me!! please don't post any questions right now since i still have to watch episode 135 and onwards. :)

I was in the hospital when this arch aired, and I was so hyped I convinced the nurses to let me watch it on my ipod nano even when they weren’t supposed to. So many memories of these episodes. I’m so jealous you get to watch it for the first time. Loving the reactions 💜

hi alana thank you so much for these videos, i’ve really enjoyed watching them on my lunch breaks :) just a suggestion and i don’t really know if it’s feasible with your schedule but i would recommend maybe taking a week after the conclusion of this season before starting shippuden! any small break will work but i would recommend at least a week

Hey Alana, I’m really enjoying these reactions. Since I know you will be starting Shippuden soon I highly recommend watching kakashi gaiden episodes 119-120 of shippuden first as I feel this gives the best experience. This is also the manga order. It’s completely up to you, I can’t wait to watch the next reaction 😃

The concept of people getting upset w sasuke and adding itachi to their favs is not a canon event for me i fear bc while i enjoy itachi, he is quite literally a huge reason why sasuke spirals and is traumatized lol.. i do understand itachi's appeal but I guess that is why there is a lot of space for people to have discussions on why these characters aren't just categorized as "bad guy" "good guy"

honestly though, even though sasuke is in my timeout corner right now its kinda ironic and sad how that happens considering sasuke has always struggled with his worth vs his brother💀 i am unfortunately susceptible to fictional guys that make me constantly wonder why/how they turned evil... ✋😔 but yes i do love that almost every single one of these characters (especially the villains) has nuance to them 🙂‍↕️

At this point I feel like with what Sasuke is doing now it was going to happen eventually regardless. Him trying to have a happy life in the Leaf Village while Itachi was still out running around was never going to sit well with him. It would’ve been a false sense of security.

Your miss reading itachi and his relationship with his dad him and his dad have an amazing relationship. A fugaku didn’t treat Sasuke bad so i don’t know why you are hating in him so much like he’s a horrible person. Yes he compares Sasuke to itachi but why wouldn’t he itachi is quite literarily as gifted as the first hokage even more gifted bc no in graduate or has joined the black ops while being a kid. He’s like the Jordan of his clan why would they not expect great things from someone who is 5e greatest. You should be more mad at itachi im the one who killed the whole clan that means man women and children and then traumatized his brother. Sasuke loved his mom and dad and still does showing you that they never abused him mistreated him or hated him they was just to focused on the prodigy which is bad but not uncommon in households when a kid becomes famous or does something amazing with there life.

just because itachi is a prodigy doesn't mean that his father shouldve neglected sasuke though. it may not be abuse but it's still neglect that has affected sasuke to this day (of course itachi killing the clan plays a role in sasuke's mental state). i'm not saying his father is 100% bad because like i said in a previous comment there's nuance to these characters. but from what i've seen, that neglect (and obsession on itachi's side) seems to have been a huge trigger for both sasuke and itachi's path in life 🤷‍♀️

And sorry for my broken English. English isn’t my first language and I do agree with you about that part of his father. His father did create that inferiority complex that sasuke has about himself. And him even remotely not doing better then Naruto brung up those feelings and the hatred he had about being weaker and compared to itachi people compared Naruto and Sasuke and Sasuke was the itachi for once the better one the stronger one and then Naruto started to surpass him and stronger. And sorry if I came off hostile wasn’t it meant to sound so I agree with you that he’s not a great father to Sasuke bc he became so obsessed with how great itachi.

@Cynthia, watching 119-120 first IS in order. The manga released it that way, and for their own reasons the animation studio moved it to later on.

As others said 119-120 is a mini-arc in the manga that happens before the start of the shippuden content. I'm with those who say to watch it first, as that's the way the mangaka intended it. Just please skip the OP for those episodes 😅

This is always one of the most widely contested decisions, and people on both sides typically seem to have strong opinions (similar to the sub/sub debate). I’m team start from how everyone else watching the anime would have experienced it personally, but oftentimes reactors do polls. I’ve seen maybe ten or so reactors to Naruto and generally 80% start with 1/2

I remember when I saw the backstory of sasuke and itachi here I was just like God damnit your hearting my damn heart with this brother bond and sasuke not being able to catch a break with being compared to itachi. Yes i understand where sasuke is coming from to this day but its sad to see him break Naruto's friendship towards him ya know just sad with him wanting the approval from dad🥲🥲 also that other sad song that plays the piano yeah stop it....
