Vinny, a multi-channel modulator may be just what you're looking for. Look up Blonder Tongue, Thor and Terk modulators. There are NTSC modulators out there, but I'm only familiar with the CATV ones. We used them at my first broadcast station to observe our signal and the competition on monitors and multiviewers all over the building. We use a much newer Sencore OmniHub frame now, but that's probably overkill outside of broadcast. The Blonder Tongue Clearview NTSC16 ($4k), Thor H-16HDMI and H-16RCA ($2k new, $1100 from B&H with business account) would be perfect if you could find them used.

Hell yes, great ep. Love when the gang talks politics

Don’t know if it’s just the younger folk I hang around with (20 or so onwards as Austin was focusing on) but I think they’re as aware if not more than we were at that age. This might be a view he may want to check himself on. It’s very easy to read the thought pieces and see the news and paint a picture for yourself of what’s happening to the youth - we’re not all immune from this, it’s a muscle that has to be practiced otherwise your view on the world becomes very very dark and you find yourself beginning from a point of pessimism on discussions like this without noticing. Not saying ya’ll don’t know this but it’s good to remember as was a common thread in this episode that Jeff thankfully tried putting cold water on during the J6 discussion.

I doubt this is relevant to anything,, but i put the show on .5x speed for a few minutes by accident and thought you were doing some weird bit

Also just wanna add another animated show that's killer is Invincible Fight Girl. Watched it on a whim after Lazarus, and i can say with confidence its waaaaayyyy better than Lazarus which is kinda sad but also has me very hype for a season 2

The extended discussion in the middle of this podcast is very good. Thank you for having it!

I just want to express some appreciation for everyone's willingness to speak about what's going on. I know plenty of people are looking for distractions/escape from the daily nightmare(s) we're living through. I empathize. I also often feel like everyone is under-reacting to the *insanity* that is unfolding every day. I often feel like people who have audiences, who have reach, have a bit of an obligation to use their platform to help get others to pay attention to important things. I appreciate ya'll being open with your thoughts/feelings, opening yourself up to the possibility of pushback/griping, etc. It means a lot hearing you all touch on it. Thank you.

oh wow, that H016RCA might be get another look! Do you know how I might get stereo audio into it?! It looks like coax audio, which I never worked with before. --Vinny

The H-16RCA-RF-AMOD has 16 pairs of RCA ports on the back, labeled A1 through 16 and V1 through 16. One set is for composite video in (V1-16) and the other is for mono analog audio in (A1-16), same consumer-level audio standard as a VCR. Manual available here: https://thorbroadcast.com/product/16-channel-analog-agile-modulator-ntsc-pal-secam.html B&H only appears to have the H-16HDMI-RF-AMOD available B2B at $1100 (B2C at $1250). The HDMI model should support stereo audio. Aside from having different inputs, they're apparently identical machines. Both have web GUIs for management.

This was both very good and so depressing I couldn't finish it.

Jonathan Bernacki

Appreciate the political discussion, gents. It's nice to know there are people out there that feel the same way. Makes me feel less crazy!

Dustin Henry

Absolutely second the recommendation for Common Side Effects. It's amazing!
