I actually love L&O/procedural TV, and comic book movie talk, so this was a great one for me.

As a L&O fan this was a treat. I remember many years ago when Netflix streaming added the early seasons and the first few were in HD 16:9 (I’m assuming they were shot on film). They looked absolutely incredible, was wild to see early 90s New York in high definition for the first time. Also as a Canadian L&O Toronto is pretty good. Can never live up to the early-late 90s original but nothing can.

Also I strongly advocate people check out Homicide Life on the Street if you like L&O or The Wire, it got added to Peacock recently, watched it for the first time. Really great, weakest element is NBC interference making the cast more young and conventionally attractive Detectives as the show goes on. Fantastic performances and guest actors. Worst thing is trying to find the second half of the crossovers with L&O though, The scenes with Briscoe and Munch are worth it!

for the DCU a lot has changed since first announcement. The Batman stuff is a big mess, cause there's Matt Reeve's Batman sequel, but it's not supposed to be part of Gunn's DCU, that is what Batman The Brave and The Bold movie is slotted for. There's also A Lantern Corps show coming to HBO Max which is supposed to be in vein of True Detective style which could be awesome.
