I could see there being a Watchcast program called Fuck It, We're Doing Citizen Kane! where you go through what are now considered to be the great American films off sources like the Sight and Sound list. Also the edit of Godfather that was talked about was done for TV... iirc it was called A Novel For Television and recut Parts I and II into chronological order and added about an hour of previously deleted scenes. Its kind of interesting but absolutely not the way to watch those movies.

Oh man ya’ll should do a Godfather complete watch. I can not stand 2 and love 3 though I get it’s flawed in many ways (you gotta approach it with the right mindset), would love to hear your thoughts. Fun in a retrospective way too as they each put A LOT of prestige media (including games) into sharp perspective - turns out everyone’s just been ripping off FFC.

Vinnie, you should watch Alfred Hitchcock’s Notorious. I think it would be up your alley.

Came here to say that while I do appreciate the markers (I mean, who wouldn't?), hearing how much effort and time it takes: no way do I actually like or need them *that* much! I'm probably not alone in thinking if it takes 30+ minutes, I'd be happier knowing any of you spent it on something more fun to you than toiling away on markers every damn week and podcast.

From a pure product standpoint, I would have to disagree. There’s a continuously growing number of independent media outlets, journalists, etc. and I genuinely believe Nextlander is putting out the most professionally produced podcasts in the gaming industry. It can be jarring going to other podcasts and really sets Nextlander above the pack. IMO of course.

Both Birth of a Nation and The Jazz Singer were removed from the AFI Top 100 in the 2007 update (which I believe is the last time the list was altered).
