Alex and Vinny both randomly watched Weapons, so how about an impromptu mini-Watchcast for Weapons? We also get into Brad's other horror movies for the week, the enduring legacy of Evil Dead and Bruce Campbell, and the truest horror of them all: home inspections.

Gird yourself with Evil Dead 1. Or at least one part that sticks in my head is both have a scene where someone is attacked by trees/branches but the Evil Dead 1 version has an extra element that makes me uncomfortable.

Evil Dead one is more serious. The remake took it a step further. I actually like Evil Dead 1 more than Army of Darkness. That one just got too silly for me. Part 2 is the perfect mix.

You should really read the bit on Wikipedia about Amy Madigan's performance in Weapons. It begins: "According to Cregger, Madigan "saved" the film. When discussing the character, he stated that . . ."

I'd like to hear what Vinny and Alex think of The Substance.

Julia Garner was a regular in the Netflix series Ozark, which I've been told is great, so I'm starting to watch that. Her character first appears in the second episode. She also plays the Silver Surfer in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (I liked it and I thought she was quite good in it), and starred in Leigh Whannell's Wolf Man (found it disappointing).

Brad should check out the Masters of Horror series which has episodes directed by famous horror movie directors. The John Carpenter episode felt like a continuation of Mouth of Madness.
