It's Fargo week on the Watchcast, and Alex is just gosh darned excited as all get out to talk about his favorite Coens classic. Join us as he takes Brad and Vinny through the frozen wasteland of the Northern Midwest to discuss the supposedly (but not actually) "true events" of the film, the darkness that runs under the surface of Minnesota Nice, and the spectacular array of accents on display.

I somehow never noticed that the embroidery movie poster had the needle and thread coming out of the red jacket, it just seamlessly integrates itself into the composition. I'm also embarrassed to admit this but I originally didn't like this movie until re-watching it 2 years ago almost entirely because I could not take the accents/personalities seriously... (I was young and uncultured). It's now a top 3 Cohen Bros movie.

Very happy with how long this is🥰 Also EVERYONE should watch all of the Fargo TV show. Some of the best TV ever made in my opinion.

You guys mentioned the scene with Mike Yamagita and wondering what the point of it in the movie was. My interpretation was always that when Marge discovers that he was lying the whole time, that basically reminds her of her first interaction with Macy's character, and how off he seemed, which then got her to talk to him again and figure the whole thing out. Basically her realizing that these seemingly meek guys can be very deceiving and to trust her gut when something seems off.

If you guys want another “all timer performance in a black comedy by Frances McDormand that she won an Oscar for”, I HIGHLY recommend Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri for any of you who haven’t seen it. Honestly there’s a lot of great performances in it aside from hers. Sam Rockwell in particular (he also won an Oscar for his performance here), but also Woody Harrelson. It’s hard to choose between In Bruges and Banshees of Inisherin but if I had to choose, I’d say it’s my favorite Martin McDonagh movie.

Great episode. Great movie I’ve loved this month so far Can’t wait for the lads reaction to sexy beast.

Yeah, his deception shows her how seemingly pathetic people can actually use that impression to manipulate and lie to people

Terrific movie. I have also really enjoyed the TV series, outside of a really out-there moment in the second season. I believe it is in the first season where a character finds Carl's buried money, building a fortune off it.
