So E3 06 is the one E3 I actually attended while writing for a site. If you wanted to make that stuff available I would be very interested. Also, to share an E3 06 story, Steven Spielberg cut me in line to play the Wii in Nintendo's booth. Which should have been cool but after waiting 2 hours in line on the final day to get into the booth, then another 45 minutes to try Mario Galaxy, I was so tired I couldn't even enjoy it. I was just annoyed which carried over to playing Galaxy.

BAMMER reference. YouTube embed glitched out, so couldn't get timecode. Towards the end?

TLDR: try building the system offline or contacting IT for the district listed to see if they'll remove the stale entry from their ABM (and likely AirWatch from that time period, but Intune is another possibility). Apple products check on Out-of-Box Experience whether they are part of any Mobile Device/Asset Management (MDM/MAM) system and forcibly apply said business' device policy to lock it down in various ways. Apple products purchased for enterprise are usually tied by Serial Number to an Apple Business Manager (ABM) account. This is on the vendor who the business procured the device from but can be done manually via Apple Configurator app from an account that has permissions to an ABM instance. ABM can be used as an MDM itself but most organizations generate an enrollment token and vpp token (for managing devices and apps, respectively) that they link to another MDM like AirWatch or Intune. The device should be able to be freed by either building offline (iOS and iPadOS devices certainly can but I'm uncertain for MacBooks) or contacting the district's Mobile Device Coordinator/Subject Matter Expert (SME) to remove the entry from their MDM and ABM before you wipe and reboot.
