Brad unfortunately had to duck out for this week's show, but Vinny and Alex keep the conversation going with more Summer Game Fest updates, ample discussion on Microsoft and the larger industry's current fortunes, and even a bit of speculation on what our level of survivability would be when pitted up against any X-Man, but mostly one X-Man in particular. The one with knives in his hands.

Ooo, I just got done talking about my experiences with United Healthcare and how I am going to be without insurance next year. All I have to say is: Fuck United Healthcare.

Video Nasty Nate

Fun Fact: I believe the moniker given to Female Cenobite is "Deep Throat"(because of course it is)

Every time I hear about US health insurance I get angry and I don't even have to deal with it. It sounds absolutely insane.

Incredibleplum

Silly Kids the US govt is too busy bombing people in the middle east to fix the healthcare system.

did the rss feed get broken somehow? both this and the ramblecast haven't shown up on youtube music yet. anyway good vibes :)

I had an eye screening last year and they found cholesterol plaque in my eye. Had to see cardiologist and get bunch of screenings on my neck and heart. Now I'm on aspirin and cholesterol medicine. If my insurance didn't cover eye exams, I wouldn't never known I had this problem which can lead to a heart attack or stroke. Whenever some barks about government death panels if we had universal healthcare, Im thinking buddy we already have them with insurance companies.

Brian Streleckis

I've had some dental insurance issues recently, having to pay more than I thought for implant surgery because I don't have implant-specific insurance. Another great podcast.

EarthBear

The goal is to keep people occupied with working their entire lives and increasingly complicated, more expensive, and essential personal business to exist in society. Medical care is the biggest example. Time is the ultimate resource, and Americans don't have it. Not only do you pay, you have to spend more of your time jumping through hoops for everything just as Vinny did over the phone.

Its a like huge bummer that the podcast starts with sad ranting about all stupid shit in the USA. I get it.... But it's like the opposite of what I come to nextlander for :( I end up skipping and sometimes bailing entirely these days

Pantalones Johnson

Technically, Captain America was killed by a bullet...

Xbox esentially bowing out of the game industry is such a crazy thing, they dont wanna say it but are doing it, Xbox Nintendo and Sony used to be like a safe harbor for the volatility of the game business when you were starting up. Now safe harbor is practically nonexistent unless you work at Nintendo or Sony and only if you have good communication with Japan

M.C.G

Alex is absolutely right, Hellraiser 4 is better than it has any right to be
