The Watchcast rises from hiatus to sparkle for all of you once again, and while our friend Brad is out on leave, we've got a few guests lined up to take us through some of their favorite films. First up is Abby Russell with the movie she's been determined to make us watch for months now. the equally baffling and entertaining YA vampire romance, Twilight!

NOTE: I say at the end of this podcast that we would have announced the next two Watchcast movies on the Patreon by now. That schedule will be up here tomorrow (Tuesday). Sorry for the delay on that!

It’s Twilight-o’clock somewhere. Been actually looking for an excuse to revisit these movies, so glad to see this finally materialize.

I saw the first three on deployment because one of the guys read the books and put the movies on in the breakroom. Being that there was nothing else on, we watched it. My only lasting memories is memory is stuff around the movies: Some hypothesis that Twilight vampires are evolved from insects, I think Red Letter Media making fun of a battle scene with werewolves and editing in frisbees and commenting it was just pale people playing with their overly large dogs. That and I keep confusing plot points with the later Fifty Shades of Grey.

Say what you want about these movies, this first one is a weird stupid fun time.

Eclipse is secretly not bad!

I never dismissed Twilight because it was aimed at young women, I dismissed it because I (rightfully) assumed it was bad
