My son hates that I use subtitles when he watches with me, but helps me in my old age (and English is my only language). No speed adjustment needed to sync with my stream on Amazon Prime in the US. Gran Torino was great. I am also an Eastwood fan. My favorite Clint Eastwood western is "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976) [IMDb 7.8, RT 91%]

I really enjoyed watching this. This is such a good movie. I think the narration throughout the whole movie was Eddie's letter to Frankie's daughter, not just the part in the end where it shows him writing the letter. You should watch Blue Bayou (2021). It's not by Clint Eastwood, but it's still a really good one to watch.

Great acting. Great directing. Agree that Eastwood is a good storyteller. This is a movie I don't rewatch often (too tough, too sad for me in my old age). Thanks for reaction. I shared your pain. This is such a good movie, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Clint Eastwood. Unforgiven (1992) is another great Clint Eastwood movie with Morgan Freeman.
