Okay…

There haven't been any posts for a while because there wasn't much to write about. I spent most of the time working on performance, which isn't interesting for most people, and I'm not particularly keen on writing about technical stuff either—things like what I did with textures, models, effects, or the tests I conducted on various computers... it's all not very interesting.

And you might ask why bother with performance now? I could have done it later, after finishing the game, adding content, making the BOOBS even bigger, making Judі look at the camera when you look at her directly — and believe it or not, I forgot about that, but now she will look directly when you look at her and won't turn away...

Don't panic, it's important because adding activities, quests, items, new enemies, and polishing other things that are currently in the game will put more strain on the project and it will perform worse. Therefore, I need to consider resource consumption more carefully to ensure the game can be played on wooden computers.

For those who have been paying attention, you've probably read a little brief update on the ENG channel of my Discord Server about the work done, but just in case, I'll duplicate part of it here:

completed the optimization of story mode

updated the entire landscape

refreshed some visual effects

updated the sound design

changed the enemy spawn system and the amount of enemies

which will gradually vary

adjusted the loot spawn system (which will also gradually change)

implemented an infection system that strengthens or weakens enemies

reduced CPU load

decreased video memory consumption

fixed several bugs

updated the graphics settings

updated the loading system

moved the entire story mode location to separate chunks.

The infection level is a sort of difficulty setting for the story mode that will increase or decrease depending on the player's actions. Initially, the minimum infection level is 1, but as the player progresses through the story, this minimum level will increase, making the enemies stronger and the loot scarcer.

I've added 4 random activities:

You may encounter a YUNA stone surrounded by red symbionts which you must eliminate before you can destroy the YUNA stone to reduce the infection level. Lowering the infection level increases the chance of finding loot and reduces the strength of the symbionts. This event occurs if you play and survive while your actions increase the infection level. In other words, you won't encounter this event if you aren't actively playing.

A straightforward one: white symbionts might attack and chase you across the map until you leave the region or kill them.

You might stumble upon a cart with a locked weapons cabinet. A symbiont has stolen the key and is running somewhere . Killing it allows you to pick up the key and unlock the cabinet to obtain a large amount of ammunition.

You could find a pile of useful junk. To access the resources, you'll need to kick it, making a lot of noise, which attracts symbionts from the entire region. If the player dies or loses consciousness and ... having SEX which will be triggered as an event after losing in the sex mechanic , the infection level decreases, resulting in fewer symbionts and more loot. However, the infection level won't drop below the minimum. In the future, the YUNA stone will provide essential resources for improving YUNA skills, which are still under development. I'll start working on this after the next two updates. For now, destroying the YUNA stone only reduces the infection level, but in the future, it will serve as an incentive to play more cautiously.

It's not much, but for a start, I think it's more than enough for such a short time span.

What I'm doing now... I've started adding SEX, beginning with the Armored Symbiote because I want to replace the SEX animation placeholders for him. I'll likely add group animations for him and started working a little on sex mechanics

And now there should be a question... HORN! fuck it, you said there would be group animations for tentacles! Well... yes, after the armored symbiote, I will be doing group animations for tentacles... Anyway, the update will come out after the group animations for tentacles are...

And as I've already mentioned... it's best to expect the update at the beginning of next month, as I have a birthday this month and will need to take a break for a week or slightly less

Added two oral animations for the armored symbiote , i will write a bit more about other improvements and changes later.
