Okay! The update is planned for around the 15th of this month. It will include fixes for several bugs, and the game has now been migrated to a modified version of UE4. I've started it after the last update release and now it's basically done. I’m already testing a build with DLSS 4, MFG, Ray Reconstruction, and Reflex. I’ve also heard that AMD GPUs should perform better now, although I can’t confirm that yet, because I don't have AMD system to test it personally. FSR 4 and AMD Frame Generation have also been added, along with some additional DirectX 12 optimization.I’ve often seen people asking whether it will finally be possible to properly play with ray tracing enabled - and now the answer is yes. The game utilizes the GPU much better now and is less limited by the old engine architecture. Hopefully it will solve persistent AMD issues.I’ve also added the ability to switch between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 directly from the game menu, optimized the save system, and I’m continuing to work on the rest of the update, which, as mentioned above, should be released around the 15th.Also fixed issues related to tangent recomputation, which could cause ugly visual artifacts on Judi’s body, as well as a cache memory issue that prevented shadows from updating correctly on enemies when using ray tracing... and there was something else too, but I’ve already forgotten what it was.
Now for the more important news.As many of you know, Ukraine is currently facing massive attacks and the systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure, and this is happening almost every day. Because of that, this winter is likely to be extremely difficult, and the war is not going to end anytime soon.So right now I’m trying to adapt to these harsher circumstances. Thanks to your support, patience, and generosity, I was able to buy another battery. My next goal is to purchase a solar panel, so I can achieve at least some basic level of energy independence and stop losing entire months of development because of power outages caused by russian attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Hopefully, this will allow me to keep working much more consistently this winter than I was able to during the previous two.
