I noticed you are recording from the Hirata Estate. If you are still stuck in that area, leave. The boss there is much harder than the boss on the 'main path', since this area is optional I believe, at least in the early game. You will probably have a lot better time if you do other stuff and come back later with upgrades.

I love that tip of playing with someone else Baba is You :) ! I'll try doing so with my bro, we'll probably make lots more progress together and faster ^^

Much like Souls, in Sekiro, you can avoid a lot of enemies, especially when you're making a run back to a boss who killed you. Sometimes, just running right past enemies (or grappling over their heads, or sneaking) is just faster than trying to kill them all if all you want to do is get back to where you died. The game's combat definitely takes a little while to click, but if you want to keep trying, the most important tip I got was: *don't try to play this like Souls or Bloodborne*. You can't wait for an opening--if you let enemies dictate the pace of combat, you're never going to get the opening you're looking for. Instead, you need to go on full offense whenever possible, which forces enemies to block. If you see an orange flash, that means they parried you and are going to counterattack, which is your cue to get ready to deflect. Once I realized I *really* had to be aggressive, and not just in the Bloodborne sense, the whole thing clicked for me so much more. That said, it also helps to have a couple of health upgrades and a couple of the skills (especially Mikiri Counter and Breath of Life: Light). It feels like they started you with too little health and moves like Mikiri Counter feel like they should honestly just be baseline moves because of how critical they are.

+1 to Baba Is You being really great with a buddy. Certainly extends the life-span of a session since it takes both of us to totally give up before setting it down.

Good luck on the Furi's Samurai ! One thing I like about him, is that he is actually encouraging you to do better.

I started Sekiro last night. I enjoyed it a lot. but I am a bit worried about the punishments for death. We'll see how it goes. It's a shame you can't focus on one game more, personally I like that side of From games, but I guess in your position it's not really an option.

Furi is such a hidden gem that I think deserves a lot more attention than it gets, I'm so happy it's being seen and enjoyed more over time.

Also I've been following Baba is You since shortly after it won the nordic game jam when it was chosen for a mystery tournament match, and I immediately noticed a lot of the puzzle design you talked about in your video, plus it just oozes with juice with the cute animation style and the completely extraneous "best" modifier that makes the sprite smile and sparkle.
