As someone who has messed around with Photoshop and graphic design for awhile, this was really cool to see the whole process! It reminds me a bit of when you showed off early versions of thumbnails for videos in a patreon post awhile ago I believe.

Great video haha, i really enjoy the "Okay now i'm going to google the blue Portal and stop waste my time" haha i really love the thumbnail it's insane to be so versatile between the editing, the script, the motion design and now the thumbnail, you are truly a one-man army !

Always appreciated your design skills, Mark. I think you have a natural sense of design communication which I imagine translates somewhat to game design too? What I find funny is how YT thumbnails tend to break classic design "rules" in font sizes, mixing weights, an over abundance of effects, thick stokes etc. Very much a case of how design should be fit for purpose and not driven by design trends – e.g. flat design – or any design "rules".

Hi Mark. Do you think the subscription costs of Adobe are worth it for photoshop? Have you ever tried any less expensive alternatives? Every time I think of dabbling in it, the price puts me off.
