Simon might be a bit overbearing here, but at the same time I also feel his reaction is kinda justified... XD What do you guys think?

I think he reaction is also based on how these kind of relationships can put people/mythids in danger. Obviously humans and mythids can have a tense relationship ( the werewolf reference in previous chapters). Even if they figure something out this has remifications for his pod too. He will probably leave with her. It's probably the bigger picture he is upset about. He might also have a past where he has seen how bad things can go if the situation goes bad.
