Ooohhh. See, this is interesting to me 'cause I had kind've gotten the vibe that Neris was maybe a bit cantankerous around the other mers, or just didn't act the same way he does with Fin. But here, Tide calls him stoic, and seems really happy to see him not stoic with Fin. (Precious baby!) But Flow seems concerned...why is Flow concerned? Why does Flow care, enough to even want to warn Finley? I may be over thinking this. Either way,LOVE this story telling!

RIGHT?! I feel the same way low key I feel she’s jealous that Fin has caught Neris’s eye when none of the females in their pod haven’t and since Neris is practically a full grown adult does she feel that maybe Finral is I danger?…possibly but I think she’s just old school in learning like this since she believes Mers should be with Mers and obviously humans with humans. :3

I have to ask how is the anatomy different from Mers and humans. (Like do they have a bigger stomach or extra organs?)

Their lungs would need to work a tad different to accommodate both regular breathing and gills. I also feel like they would be able to go longer without food. A bit like wolves, they don't catch prey every day. I'm not entirely sure how that would translate to the internal workings though. 🤔
