Hey everyone!
PSRP Version 1.3.0 is now available!
This is a pretty big update, and I've spent a lot of time working on new gameplay systems, improving existing features and fixing issues that have been reported.
The biggest additions this time around are the expanded gang and territory systems, a completely new way to create your own gangs, and new content for players who use LSPDFR.
I've also been replacing some of the older UI with a cleaner, more modern design, alongside a number of fixes and smaller quality-of-life improvements.
There's quite a bit to go through, so here's a breakdown of what's been added and changed.
๐ด Gang System
One of the main things I've been working on for this update is making the gang system part 1 (Yes there's more coming to it)
Rather than gangs just existing around the map, I wanted them to have their own territories, businesses, income and activities, while giving the player more things to do as part of a gang.
๐ ๏ธ Custom Gang Creator
The gang creation system has been expanded and now uses a new custom dashboard instead of relying entirely on the older menu layout.
You can create your own gang and customise a lot of how it looks and operates.
Gang creation options include:
Gang Name & Description: Give your gang its own identity.
Gang Colour: Choose a colour to represent your gang.
Headquarters: Choose where your gang is based anywhere on the map.
Gang Members: Select which NPC models your gang uses.
Gang Leader: Choose whether you lead the gang yourself or have an NPC leader.
Co-Leader: Set an NPC to manage the headquarters when you're the gang leader.
Gang Dogs: Choose whether your gang has dogs around its headquarters.
Custom Spawn Locations: Decide exactly where members, leaders and vehicles spawn.
Gang Vehicles: Save vehicles to be used by your gang, including their configurations.
Allowed Weapons: Choose which weapons your gang members can use.
Gang Relationships: Configure how your gang gets along with other gangs, including whether they respect, ignore or fight each other.
The creator also includes options to preview selections and review your gang before saving it.
Once created, your gang is saved and can continue to exist in your game.
๐ฅ Gang Headquarters & NPCs
Gang headquarters have also been improved.
When you approach a gang's headquarters, its members, vehicles and leader can spawn into the world based on how that gang has been configured.
For player-led gangs, the co-leader can appear at the headquarters in place of an NPC leader.
Gang relationships also affect how different groups behave towards one another, so rival gangs aren't necessarily going to get along.
The aim is to make headquarters feel more like actual gang locations rather than empty markers on the map.
๐ค Gang Initiations & Reputation
The gang system also includes different initiation types.
Depending on the gang, joining can involve proving yourself through:
Loyalty: Show that you can be trusted.
Strength: Prove yourself through a physical challenge.
Driving: Demonstrate your driving ability.
Gang reputation is also tracked, with different activities affecting your standing.
Completing jobs, winning territory fights and successfully defending territory can improve your reputation, while failures and territory losses can have consequences.
This gives gang-related gameplay a bit more progression rather than everything being available without having to earn it.
๐บ๏ธ Gang Territories & Turf Management
The territory system is another big part of this update.
Gangs can own different areas around Los Santos, and those territories have their own operations, resources and income.
If your gang owns a territory, you'll be able to manage it and take part in activities connected to that location.
๐ฐ Territory Economy
Each territory can have its own stored cash, drugs and weapons.
Instead of territories simply providing money, there's now more management involved.
You can manage the stock held by your territory, take part in activities to increase your supplies and use those supplies to generate income.
Territory management includes:
Stored cash and income.
Drug inventory.
Weapon inventory.
Automatic drug dealing.
Automatic weapon dealing.
Money laundering.
Territory work and missions.
Rival gang activity.
You can choose to let certain operations run automatically or get involved yourself to help build up your territory.
๐ Drug & Weapon Dealing
Territories can now generate money through drug and weapon operations.
You can enable automatic dealing, allowing your territory to sell its available stock over time.
However, stock still matters. If you want to keep making money, you'll need to make sure your territory has supplies available.
You can also take part in dealing activities yourself.
For example, you can sell drugs directly to customers, deliver larger shipments or obtain additional supplies through missions.
Weapons work in a similar way, with stock that can be sold or replenished through different activities.
๐งผ Money Laundering
I've also added a money laundering system to territory management.
Money generated through illegal activities can be processed into clean cash through your territory's operations.
Laundering happens over time, but you can improve how quickly it works by completing different activities connected to your territory.
Some jobs provide temporary boosts to your laundering rate, giving you a reason to take part in activities beyond just selling drugs and weapons.
This creates a bit more of a gameplay loop where you're earning money, managing your operations and completing jobs to improve your income.
๐ฆ New Turf Jobs & Activities
There's now a range of different activities connected to the territory system.
I wanted to add more variety so that managing a gang isn't just about standing around waiting for money to generate.
Some jobs focus on criminal activity, while others involve using legitimate businesses and services to improve your territory's money laundering.
๐ซ Criminal Activities
Street Dealing
Sell drugs from your territory's stock directly to local customers.
Drug Supply Runs
Rob rival gang dealers and bring the stolen drugs back to your territory to increase your available stock.
Weapon Supply Runs
Intercept and rob gang weapon shipments to obtain additional weapons for your territory.
Arms Deals
Deliver weapon shipments to buyers to generate money for your gang.
Bulk Drug Sales
Sell larger quantities of drugs to other gangs rather than dealing with individual customers.
Turf Assaults
Launch organised attacks against rival-controlled territories.
This gives gangs another way to expand their influence and fight over territory.
๐ช Business & Laundering Activities
There are also several jobs that can help boost money laundering.
Tattoo Shop Promotion
Promote the tattoo shop by handing out flyers to increase laundering activity.
Mechanic Repair Contracts
Repair customer vehicles to earn a temporary laundering boost.
Tow Truck Recovery
Recover stranded vehicles as part of your territory's business operations.
Cafe Supply Runs
Restock a cafe with supplies to receive a temporary 2x laundering boost.
Gruppe Cash Runs
Complete cash collection jobs to improve laundering income.
Medical Courier
Deliver medical documents to earn a laundering boost.
Pop-Up Shop
Operate a clothing stall as part of your territory's business activities.
Grass Mowing
Complete grass-cutting work around Mirror Park.
Red Carpet Setup
Help prepare a theatre for a premiere event.
Private Chauffeur
Transport a VIP to their destination.
Shipping Deliveries
Load and deliver cargo as part of a shipping job.
BMX Promotion
Complete a timed BMX checkpoint challenge.
Off-Shore Deals
Deliver a package offshore.
Pier Maintenance
Complete maintenance work around the pier.
Cashier Shift
Serve customers as part of a cashier job.
Many of these activities provide temporary laundering boosts, with several offering 2x laundering for 60 minutes.
The idea behind this is to give players more ways to earn money and progress through the gang system without every activity feeling exactly the same.
โ๏ธ Rival Gang Economy & Territory Activity
Rival gangs also have their own territory operations.
They don't just sit around waiting for the player to interact with them.
Rival-controlled territories can simulate their own drug and weapon sales, restock supplies and maintain their own economy.
This means rival territories can continue operating independently, rather than everything revolving around the player's gang.
Combined with territory assaults, gang relationships and reputation, this should help make the gang system feel more alive.
It's a system I plan to keep expanding in future updates.
๐ LSPDFR Integration โ Police Career Content
Another major addition in v1.3.0 is content for LSPDFR players.
If you enjoy playing as a police officer, I've been working on bringing that experience into PSRP's character progression and economy systems.
The goal is to make your police career feel like part of your character's life, rather than something completely separate from the rest of the mod.
๐ป New Police Officer Dashboard
A new officer dashboard has been added, giving you an overview of your police career and access to several useful features.
The dashboard has a modern interface with an overview of your progress and a separate section for actions.
It tracks various activities while you're on duty and uses that information to build up your police career.
๐ Police Statistics & Career Tracking
Your dashboard can track activities including:
Time spent on duty.
Number of shifts worked.
Arrests made.
Suspects stopped and frisked.
Pedestrian and vehicle lookups.
Traffic stops initiated.
Pursuits started and completed.
Callouts started and completed.
Backup requests.
Contraband discovered.
IDs presented by suspects.
Career earnings and progression.
These statistics are connected to your PSRP character, allowing you to build up a record of your police activity over time.
There's also an activity history so you can see the types of police work you've been completing.
โญ Police XP, Ranks & Performance
Police activities can reward career XP.
Different actions provide different amounts of progression, so things like arrests, pursuits, callouts and traffic stops all contribute to your career.
The dashboard also includes a performance rating system for your shifts.
Your rating is influenced by the activities you complete while on duty, giving you another way to measure how your shift is going.
Police career progression also includes different ranks depending on the type of police officer you're playing as.
This gives you something to work towards as you continue your career.
๐ต Police Wages
I've added a wage system for police work.
As you spend time on duty, you can earn wages based on your police career progression.
Higher career XP can increase the amount you earn.
Rather than automatically receiving everything straight away, your wages can build up as money owed.
You can then access the dashboard to:
Check how much you're owed.
Request payment of outstanding wages.
Have your wages deposited into your PSRP bank balance.
This makes working as a police officer another way of earning money within PSRP.
๐ Patrol Vehicle Saving
You can also save your patrol vehicle through the officer dashboard.
Once you've configured your police vehicle, you can save it and spawn your saved patrol car again later.
This is useful if you have a particular vehicle setup you prefer using while on duty.
๐น Bodycam System
The officer dashboard also includes bodycam controls.
You can toggle your bodycam on or off and use the bodycam display while playing.
The bodycam includes a recording-style timer, adding another small detail to the police experience.
๐ง Police Equipment & Scene Management
Several tools have been added to the dashboard for managing scenes.
These include:
Traffic Cones: Place cones around traffic stops, accidents or road closures.
Barriers: Set up barriers to secure an area.
Spike Strips: Deploy stingers during police operations.
Remove Props: Quickly clear the equipment you've placed.
These tools are intended to make it easier to manage traffic stops, accident scenes and other situations without constantly needing separate menus.
๐ฎ Officer Customisation
The dashboard also includes options to change your badge number and police type.
This allows you to customise some of your officer details and choose the type of police career you want to play.
Overall, I'm hoping the LSPDFR integration gives players another reason to spend time building up their character, especially those who prefer police roleplay over criminal gameplay.
๐จ UI Overhaul & Visual Improvements
I've also been working on replacing parts of the older PSRP interface.
Some of the UI was starting to feel outdated, especially compared to newer systems, so I've been gradually moving things over to a cleaner design.
The goal is to make menus easier to understand, improve how information is displayed and give PSRP a more consistent look overall.
Not every menu has been replaced yet, but this is something I'll continue working on with future updates.
๐ง Bug Fixes & Quality-of-Life Changes
Alongside the larger features, there are a few important fixes in this update.
โ PSRP Settings Not Saving
Fixed an issue where PSRP settings weren't being saved correctly between game loads.
Previously, some settings could reset when you restarted the game, meaning you'd have to configure them again.
This has now been addressed so your settings should persist properly between sessions.
๐ Insured Vehicles Now Keep Updated Modifications
I've fixed an issue with insured vehicles not properly saving modifications made after the vehicle was already insured.
Previously, if you insured a vehicle and then changed its modifications, those newer changes weren't always retained.
Now, modifications made to an already-insured vehicle are saved, meaning you shouldn't lose those changes when retrieving the insured vehicle.
This should make the insurance system much more reliable, especially for players who spend time customising their cars.
๐ PDM Vehicle Preview Toggle
I've added a new option to disable vehicle previews when purchasing cars from PDM.
The vehicle preview feature could cause crashes for some user who were scrolling there heavy list of addon cars.
You can now disable previews and continue purchasing vehicles without needing to use the preview system.
๐ PDM Cars in Ground
I've have hopefully fixed the bug with some of the cars sometimes being halfway in the ground.
โค๏ธ Thank You for the Continued Support!
I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who's been supporting PSRP.
A lot of time has gone into this update, particularly the gang and territory systems and the new LSPDFR content.
I'm trying to make PSRP feel more like a complete single-player roleplay experience, where there's always something to do, whether you're building up a criminal organisation, managing businesses, working as a police officer or just playing as a regular civilian.
There's still plenty I want to add and improve, and some of these systems will continue to receive updates as development progresses.
As always, if you come across any bugs, please report them. And if you've got suggestions or ideas for future features, feel free to share them.
Your feedback helps a lot, especially with updates this size.
Thanks again for all the support, and I hope you enjoy the update.โค๏ธ
