July Newsletter Progress (Patreon)

Progress has been made today:

So many boats, so much grammar -_-

I'm going to throw this and all the other research into something coherent and fun to read tomorrow, then hopefully the newsletter will follow shortly thereafter.

The Gothic Language is proving the bane of the exercise so far, there are such gaping holes in our understanding of it, especially when compared to Old English, or Old Norse, that I've resorted to tracing back to the Proto-Germanic and then using a combination of sounds, patterns and grammar tables to make up a semi-realistic alternative.

Just don't tell any actual linguists or Gothic historians, and it'll be fine.
