So here we are, Wishing, a spooky winter story for you all in this chilly season (chilly for the Northern Hemisphere at least).

No fancy backgrounds or visual flourish this time, as I think it'll be easier for folks to read in plain text, and the paired down version suits the spooky vibes.

Be warned, it's quite a sad story, as well as spooky, and there are themes of loneliness, death, and mourning within.

A quick note about January. I won't be posting anything until the 5th of January at the earliest. Going to try and take a nice long break this time round without pushing to get things ready as soon as the new month rolls around.

When I do get round to it, the January newsletter will consist of 'next steps' for the coming year, and an outline of what I plan to busy myself with while we churn our way through the publishing industry.

And last but certainly not least, may I take this opportunity to thank you one and all for your continuing support of both me and my writing throughout this year! You are all wonderful, generous folks without whom I couldn't justify pursuing these stories or my writing. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

My best and sincerest wishes of happiness, health, and comfort for you and yours this winter season and all seasons that come after.

PS. I've also included an 'Eye kind version' of the short story. This has a dark grey background, white text, and is double-spaced. For those of us who read in dark rooms on little screens and despite our own good sense give ourselves regular headaches with bright, high-contrast formats.
