Good one guys. Giles knock-out recap: S1E3 Witch By witch mom in school laboratory S1E5 Never Kill a Boy..... By Not-Anointed-One Borba in the crematorium S1E6 The Pack By zookeeper in hyena house S1E12 Prophecy Girl By Buffy Buffy wearing her cross so she can't be a vampire....? Think again, she threw down her cross in the library when she heard the prophecy. Black cat sighting in opening credits is from Witch. Giles disturbed the cat when he opened the chest by the cauldron in Amy's house. Season 2, all right!!!!! I like Mike's 'Go with the flow' comment. Probably the best strategy.

You are right about this episode seeming like a season finale. When it was being shot the network had not committed to a second season yet.
