Since y'all are North Jersey, in Hyde Park, New York in the Midhudson Valley there is an authentic Japanese Sake brewery which opened recently. Run by Dassai Blue Sake in Japan (a brand name) they brought over authentic vats and brewers and took over commercial strip mall space to build up a Japanese brewhouse on premises. I didn't get a chance to go for dinner yet myself, but if you have an important date night or just want to go out for an afternoon you can walk across the Mid-Hudson Walkway in Poughkeepsie, then grab dinner at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, and finish up with drinks at the Dassai Blue brewery in Hyde Park.
