Did you get the episode title yet. Faith, Hope and Trick 😂😂. The ring Buffy had from Angel was a Claddagh ring from his family line but it's also been adopted as a pop item in America now so Scott just happened to buy a duplicate

Yeah the Watcher's Council is a large very old organization. The Slayer is like the nuclear weapon in their arsenal but they also have trained operatives plus an unknown number of Watcher's locating and training potential Slayers all over the world. They seem to have emense funding and political resources at their disposal, but try to operate below the radar as much as possible.

So much to talk about, guys. If you ever watch the original movie, remember that it is not canon. Although there are events in the movie that are referenced in the TV show, there are several differences. One of the biggest is the lore of the watcher. Merrick, Buffy's watcher in the movie played by Donald Sutherland is quasi-immortal. If/when he dies he is reincarnated with knowledge of his past lives. There is also no mention of a Watcher's Council as he appears to act alone assisting the slayer line. You seemed confused by Buffy's reference to being 'single, white femaled'. 'Single White Female' is a 1992 movie thriller about a woman who has a new roommate who insinuates herself into the first woman's life, alterating her appearance so they look alike, trying to steal her boyfriend, etc. The infamous ring...it is a real thing called a claddagh ring. The symbology dates back to Roman and medieval times. The current form and name of the ring dates back to 16th century Ireland. The clasped hands represent friendship, the heart - love, and the crown - fidelity.

Congrats! The Slayer line goes through Buffy > Kendra > Faith. So technically, Faith holds the Slayer line, while Buffy is simply a Slayer anomaly. If Buffy dies, no new Slayer would be called. But if Faith dies, a new one would.
