Patreon friends, opinions requested.

We have discussed new mics in the past, specifically shotgun mics to move them out of view. The purpose is if background audio from the show bleeds in, syncing is easier and fans can listen along with us at a higher quality.

I just tested this via our current mics. This comes from me watching blind wave and asking them their mic usage, they use the one I am going for.

What this means for full length viewers is that the full length will include higher quality , albeit not amazingly perfect, audio from the content consistently.

K pop demon hunters is the cause of this brainstorm. I cannot get it to pass copyright but if I use background audio recorded by the mics I can include WAY MORE content without copyright stress

For reaction viewers this means the audio may be a bit lower quality but if you watch reaction channels already you may notice some do this. Copyright has gotten annoying enough that we may attempt this.

This will also allow us to do board games and whatnot eventually as mics won't be in our faces or an issue

Examples of this are available on blind wave's site.

This doesn't mean all audio will be from the background in reactions but will make it easier for me to fix issues if I can blank out the video and have a lower quality audio pass copyright for any spot giving issues

Another thought would be to use an “additional “ room mic to capture both you and the show… to make it easier to edit… But then just mute than channel for the export.

Worth a shot, at least for a trial run.
