Brina Blue

I really enjoyed watching Battlestar and I'd like to join, but I'd like to talk with you about keeping things in sync. I could really use a nice even 3-2-1 to get started from now on. It just makes it easier to get it right the first tine! I want to be constructive here, so please take this in the way that I mean it, but the 2 seconds of sound once in a while does not help me keep the video synced up. It's nice to hear that my source is relatively close to yours, but it's mostly just distracting. What everyone else that I'm subscribed to does is have the blurred video going for the whole time with a large timer counting up. I like this because if I have to pause for some reason, I can sync both sources back up easily and continue watching. Oh, and the blurred video can give you a little clue if you are in the right place, especially when the lighting shifts. I hope you will please consider my stolen suggestions. By the way, you know me as the unfortunate nickname of @lablestategirl on YouTube. I was Brina Blue there, but then they switched us to our @ names and mine was the one I signed up with a hundred years ago.

Hi Brina! I actually started doing exactly this as of today. Can you see the announcement I made which is public on here? It shows an example of a show I was editing and applied a blur to the video. Our audio gate is also lowered too so you can hear our audio (as YouTube wouldn't allow source audio for the entire video but background noise is okay) In any event that you can't, check out our masters of the air full length that will be releasing hopefully tomorrow for an example!

That's awesome! I was so invested in watching the full length BSG so I didn't bother reading anything. I only get paid once a month, so I'm going to have to wait to join until after the 3rd, but I look forward to your BSG journey! Huh. So... That makes sense. I was a patron for some channels and one specific big channel I did follow for anime had it set to the 1st so when I subbed I was confused why I got billed so fast... That feels bad that people do that

Agree that keeping in synch is easiest with a blurred video on all the time. Sharp cuts are how I judge where I am, especially like Brina said if the lighting changes suddenly. And say hi for a minute or two at the top of the vid! Gotta get my disc or other source ready. Just food for thought.
