Taskmaster S1 E6 - The Last Supper - REACTION

Mattoid

Not only did Josh win with the bean point which annoyed Romesh, but without that point it would have been a three way tie to see who won the series, that'd've been interesting. I think the trophy is a fair reward for the tattoo, and also the blank check he gave to Frank Skinner, a worthy winner.

Mandy Cane Lane

He did deserve it! But he deserved something better than a karate trophy! 🤣🤣

Mattoid

You preferred it over the giant golden heads! Josh got the bestest most rarest Taskmaster prize 🏆😄

Charlie Costa

Mandy, I use an app called Justwatch. It's on all platforms. You type in the programme you want to watch, and it will list all streaming sites available in your location. However, I do know Taskmaster is on Prime. Justwatch will be a very handy app for you.

[https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gTwn1ln03Acv-sKbOgcUZQ3aKiO2juoL] Here :) This is a well known hard drive amongst the taskmaster community - it should have all the episodes up until season 14, including specials! There might be a few missing (its been a long time since ive accessed it), but they should contain swearwords. If this doesnt work, I believe taskmaster is also on prime?

George Harvey

Taskmaster also have their own streaming service called Taskmaster Supermax, has seasons 1-11 so far along with some of the international series

Michael

Series 1 in the books, love the meal task, one last look at the insanity of Tim Key😂

Michael

Not sure if it's been mentioned but there is a Champion of Champions special after every 5 seasons with the 5 winners. So you will see Josh play again in the first Champion of Champions along with the winners of series 2-5!

Richard Portegies

On youtube they stopped putting up the censored version after series 4 or 5 I think, so even if you can't find the earlier series uncensored somewhere else, at least the later series will be uncensored even on Youtube.

Chris

What a shocker at the end of the year. How can anybody not like raspberries? Anyway, happy new year to you, Mandy :-)

Michael

I think the issue with the eggs is that the chickens are still farmed for them, they're not free. But then there's organic eggs. I don't know I'm not an expert, or a vegan😂 I think that's the problem but could be wrong🤷‍♂️

Michael

In the blooper video the fake task they are doing is 'count the hundreds and thousands' which presumably was Joshs idea as he had been made to count a load of beans and stuff at that point 😂

Michael

Josh winning is slightly controversial because he won by one point, meaning the bonus point that he was given for counting the beans actually won him the series. On the Taskmaster Podcast Josh said that at the wrap party he overheard Romesh talking to Andy Devonshire the Director saying 'the fucking beans point'

Thanks for the New Years gift of an episode Mandy! Happy New Years! Can't wait for Season 4, it's probably my favourite early season. Re: vegans and eggs, I believe their problem is with the way chickens themselves are treated in order to mass produce eggs as a product; historically poultry farms have really awful living conditions for the chickens. Obviously the reality these days is a bit more complex than that particularly with free range farms becoming more common and viable, but people who are vegan for moral reasons (as opposed to health reasons) ultimately don't believe it's right to support the dairy industry as they see the entire industry as the immoral exploitation of animals, so they avoid being consumers.

Greg Davies is 6ft 8 (2.03m). "Little" Alex Horne is 6ft 2 (1.88m)

Mandy Cane Lane

Yeah, I was thinking about this after. And I totally underatand the dairy part of it. And the chicken part as well for that matter but my issue came from seeing several videos of vegans that have lovely farms and would refuse to eat the eggs as well! Haha! 🤗🤗

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha, yeah, I imagine it is the conditions! But when I said this I was thinking of several videos I have seen of vegan people who had lovely farms and refused to eat the eggs as well! 🤪😅

Mandy Cane Lane

Cool thank you! And Taskmaster is definitely not on Prime Argentina 😭

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh wow! Thank you Ari!! And it is not on Prime Argentina 🤪😅

Mandy Cane Lane

Hmmm.... I will give that a look! Thank you George! 🤗

Mandy Cane Lane

Lmao! The dog food was so mean! 😅😅 The blooper bit was brilliant though! 🤪

Mandy Cane Lane

Ohh! I heard something about that and was wondering how it worked! Ok, got it. Thank you Michael! 🤗🤗

Mandy Cane Lane

My goodness Ari! I just opened it and this is a goldmine! I was almost blinded by all the brilliance!! Thank you SO much! 🤗🌺

BazMan01

Mandy Cane Lane

Thank you so much Adam! I am flabbergasted at the support I have been recieving and am so happy I found this path! 🤗🤗

Richard Portegies

Only thing that sucks with this drive is that the quality is really bad (only 360p). I used to use this one to watch it back when they didn't upload the episodes on Youtube.

Mandy Cane Lane

Ah, ok. Good to know, I have decisions to make now! 😅😅

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha, I love that it was a Karate trophy!! 🤣🤣🤣

Ari.g

Haha, no worries! Happy to help :) When i first began watching tm (around a few years ago), this drive was my saving grace - because *everything* was blocked here in Australia. I think the drive is actually a collaboration of many fans who came together to create one large folder. Gotta love the community!

Mandy Cane Lane

Communities can be wonderful! 🙌🏻 I am lucky to have such a lovely one growing! 🤗

Joe McGuire

This kind of discussion can lead to a bad time, which is not what Mandy or this patreon wants. As such I'm just giving the facts to clarify a point Mandy had and I'm not looking to start an argument with non-vegans. Feel free to delete if you feel it's too divisive. So the thing about the eggs is a misunderstanding. There probably is quite a few who have a problem with the eggs and some of those won't have any more nuance past 'it's disgusting'. But the actual 'correct' reason is that chickens (and other animal egg sources) are still horrifically abused and slaughtered to produce eggs. We don't have one breed of a chicken that's both used to produce eggs and to produce meat, we have separate breeds that have been designed for the specific purposes. When I say designed, a mean it as it is. We've spent however many thousands of years breeding these animals to specifically produce meat/eggs efficiently at the detriment of their own bodies and health. Egg-layer breeds don't maintain a constant level of egg production through their life and after their production peaks they are slaughtered in order to maintain overall production efficiency. Additionally you have the entire male gender that doesn't contribute to the egg-laying, beyond being used as studs for the artificial breeding, and even then it's a significantly tiny % of the overall male population that hatches. As such almost all male chicks are slaughtered immediately. So while you can argue that eating an egg in of itself isn't killing an animal (and hence fits in with the non-nuanced vegan definition of 'don't kill animals') you're still contributing to a system that kills animals indirectly in the process to produce those eggs. And remember, anecdotes of 'but I have chickens on my property and we take good care of them blah blah blah' or 'i only buy free-range eggs blah blah blah' does not change the facts of the global egg industry and its practices.

Mandy Cane Lane

I will not delete as it is respectful and informative. I now understand the vegan position better and thank you for informing me on a topic I didn't know enough about Joe. I will again point out that what I said was with many videos of Argentinian or Spanish people who have lovely little farms and since they did not eat the eggs they would regularly take them and smash them on the floor.. But there are always going to be people that do more harm to a cause than good because they have no idea what they are supporting or why. 😅 LOL. Thank you Joe for being kind and respectful! 🤗

StChives

Tim & Alex had been good friends for over 10 years when this was recorded, I think in the last task his main goal was just for Alex to eat some horrific food xD

Mandy Cane Lane

The shock on his face when it was good was excellent! 🤪🤪
